Ive not submitted an issue, as it seems probably 'hard' to fix, but ill ask anyway. since around a year ago, ive not been able to update organic maps on my chinese car radio with only 2gb ram, as all new versions just crash on open. Is this a known issue, and is it now an unsupported hardware spec?

#SailfishOS on the @npub1qgm…yd0f #pinephone and #pinephonepro have had a kernel bump to 6.12. Was a frustrating few days as I figured out a particular failure, 6.12 deprecated memory cgroup v1 which we require, so that had to be adding into the defconfig, but all is good now. zypper ref && zypper dup

PSA: if using the @npub1qgm…yd0f Pinetab2 with #SailfishOS, "lock" the version of ofono at 2.7, version 2.10 doesnt play nicely with it currently, and if you zypper dup it will pull in the new version. Until I fix it, lock the version fro m the latest build.

Have made a slightly less hacky release of Ofono with better support for the modem rebooting or re-appearing on the @npub1qgm…yd0f #pinephone and pro. Just update with zypper to get the new version. #sailfishos

Sometimes, the modem in the @npub1qgm…yd0f #pinephone will reboot or disconnect/reconnect from the USB bus. When this happens #sailfishos doesnt properly "see" the modem anymore. Incoming call will work, but not outgoing. I managed to make a massive hack which sort of works and improves the situation. Hopefully over the next few days I can make it less hacky!

Good review of #sailfisos on the #pinephone:
5 days on.
didn't restart ofono. icon still greyed.
as promised I kept an eye on USB disconnects.
in the last 2 days I disabled wifi and noticed this:
with wifi enabled wakups happen every minute or so and only this way, always and only on resume, there were occasionally USB disconnect events.
with wifi off wakups happen every exact half an hour and no USB disconnect happened in 2 days.....
