We get a lot of reports for spam/donation requests in general. A couple of months ago, we muted accounts with a gazaverified link in their bio -- we reversed this decision when a user pointed this out to us, and have since taken great care to *not* take any moderation action against accounts with the gazaverified profile link, literally part of our mod checklist.
(I can't guarantee that we never get this wrong, but we're happy to fix mistakes if people talk to us.)

FWIW: We do not block that (or any other) hashtag! That hashtag is treated no different than all hashtags from our POV (i.e., we do not moderate hashtags at all).
When I (@npub1pux…xw53 ) am logged in, I see plenty of posts under the hashtag. Zero idea why they don't show up on the public page, but it's not through any admin action on our end. Screenshot of the hashtag in our moderator interface + a random other hashtag attached.)

We had some file system problems on our database host starting this morning around 6 CET. This lead to a read only filesystem, which we started to fix at 10 CET. We also used this downtime to do some reboots and some needed maintenance. So welcome back while we catch up what happened in the fediverse during our downtime. #mastoadmin

You may have noticed that we blocked the instance gup.pe. This was a service providing fediverse group functionality. We blocked them because they lost their domain which is now hosting a spam site. We are back online with the database from this morning 15.08.2025 at 05:20 CEST. Every local toot posted between this time and 13:45 CEST is lost so are the two registrations we saw today. Remote toots should catch up the next few hours.
The lost followings from our users to users from mastodon.social should be recovered in most cases. Sadly users from mastodon.social following our users are lost because the domain deletion process removes every existing relation between accounts. #mastoadmin

Also we had to block lemmy.world for the moment. They send so many request that it's problematic. Some technical insight we got talking to them you can find in the screenshot.

I anyone has a suggestion what changed at the 18.6 at 15:30 CEST. This was the beginning of the load problems. Any other admins seeing an increased load after that point in time? #mastoadmin
