I'm impressed with LR's photo merge to panorama command. This started out as 8 screen shots of a document that I couldn't download from FamilySearch. Easily assembled into a readable two page document.

Working on digitizing my great grandmother Mary Jane (Kellam) Hankins' birthday book. She received the book for Christmas in 1888. She recorded birth and death dates (some with years and locations!) for friends and family members. Earliest event recorded was her grandfather John Kellam born 25 November 1789!!!!

Does anyone know how to calculate dates when the year is given as 5th independence?
Date is 14th June 5th Independence. Document is an 1802 manuscript of New York Loyalists who had property taken under the Confiscation Act.
Is 1776 the first year of Independence? Would that start on July 4? So would 14th June 1st year be June 14, 1777?
Manuscript information is at https://archives.nypl.org/mss/2211 It has been fully digitized by NY Public Library.
