Since it's #FollowFriday, may I recommend you all follow the Steam publisher of "Jungle Game Lab" and play some of their (free!!!) games? They put out some real pearls in February already, and followed it up with a second batch a few days ago.

Yeah, true! 😢 Even if you compare the size of both the old and new text and take the bigger one to determine the particle's dimension, there will likely remain certain cases where it will look funny... Might work if you interpolate the `visble_characters` of the text, but that's a LOT more involved, of course (and won't work so easily for other Control nodes, I'm afraid). Still, one can dream... 😁

Didn't get around to actually do it yet, but in my gamejam template, I thought about spawning some dense, but quickly fading "dust" particles on top of all the labels, to hide the transition from one language to another.
Just in case that's something you want to experiment with. Your solution certainly is the more efficient and straightforward one, though! 😂

In case anyone else is using Godot from Arch Linux' "extra" repo: There currently is an issue with sending HTTPRequests, preventing you (amongst other things) from downloading export templates. This is *not* a bug in Godot itself!

Inspired by a recent post from @npub1ztz…exr0, I did yet another Godot plugin!

It's a simple Control node. Define your own sequence of characters (or use one of the presets), then call `flip_to(char)` to flip to the respective character.
Appearance is fully customizable: font, font size, colors, panel styleboxes, vertical separation, animation time. If you're missing anything: Tell me!
