.I checked the relay data for your npub and the bookmark refs I found are encrypted private NIP-51 content, not public bookmark refs. Deepmarks was mislabeling that imported private state as “public” in one view; I’ve fixed that so it shows and behaves as private but it was never exposed. all people see are encrypted events

i the 90s people built websites and server applications for fun and pride and sometimes made some money. then we all started to talk about network effects from platform lockin and we forgot our roots.
make a great project on #nostr and maybe it will grow into a lifestyle small business.

everyone can build a relays with their own read an write policies and create an app around that policy. the best part is the openness of the data you can read not the openness to write to anyone one else's relay.
if you want free restrains in writing data you have to use your own relay and maybe even your own app

if you bookmark an ebook link, we will store a copy while you enjoy reading the book.
you can't share a link to the encrypted file on our blossom server since it is only able to be decrypted by you, but it will be there if you need to download it again.

it would have been much easier to make the service use a traditional database but your web of trust augments the signal of good content

google play is very user hostile with a 14+ day waiting period (requiring closed internal testing phase) for new apps but at least we have @npub10r8…t2p8 to publish onto the android platform

the beauty of #nostr is the use of relays as open databases linked to a specific application. the social apps store a ton of different note kinds where @npub199z…0sqk only stores a few types related to bookmarks. all the databases with public read can be joined together in whatever way a developer desires.

you don't need to point amethyst at anything, just login to deepmarks with your identity and we do the work for you. for 21,000 sats we archive all your amethyst bookmarks as well as long as we exist.

#nostr is far more than just social media
it is an protocol for open content than can be pulled into many types of apps.
historically when you used a bookmarking service your content lived on a closed server that may have been nice enough to give api access.
by publishing bookmarks on a relay any app creator can use public bookmarks and users can decrypt their private bookmarks and view them alongside other content.
do you want your llm to use your bookmarks for a specific project? just point it at relay.deepmarks.org and query against your npub.
when you archive a website for the future it lives with its hash on blossom.deepmarks.org
