I went from Greece to Germany with the car in summer 2024. In Serbia and Hungary I had a huge amount of insects stuck to my front grill, like I remember it from my childhood in the 80s/90s in Germany. As soon as I crossed over to Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany ... hardly any insects. What does this tell us?

Very good! I'm currently not carb-free, but I fully go along with your diet choice. From my experience it feels exactly like you describe. And man, do I believe you that as an Italian in Italy (!) this feels tough.
I went vegetarian for ~9 years, but started with regular meat again last year. My nervous system became way more sensitive and the occasional meat grounds me much better in this phase of my life (B12 🤷🏼) For me as well, coffee had to go, doesn't work at all anymore! Of course no alcohol. I now go for cacao or Greek decaf (well well 😁), but green or herbal tea's are even better. Intermittent fasting is king.
My next step is to let go of all types of industrial flour products and sadly that local hand-made ice cream here. The only occasional sweeteners will be the amazing Greek thyme and heather honeys here.
So, forza .... πάμε!!

My Wim Hof Morning Routine

This is my preferred Wim Hof breathing and stretching routine in the morning. There's no fixed structure to follow though.
In the course of your practice, for example following the Wim Hof Fundamentals video course, you'll get to know your mind and body better and better. And over time you'll find out how you prefer to do your breathing exercise, when to do your cold plunges and what stretching you like to add to your routine. Of course you can also adjust depending on how you feel and what's going on that day. Try not to miss making it a daily habit though. Your future self will thank you!

Yeah, it didn't use to be like that. Travelling in the 2010s was fun in comparison. I think it has mostly to do with the price pressure, personnel cuts, more regulations and software systems that improve-worsen the experience. To my surprise, the Greek Aegean Airlines is one of the better customer experiences.

Another test of Plebs, the Nostr video platform (plebs.app).
This video is longer and horizontal and thus shows up in the video category in full-screen 16:9 format.
Shorts on Plebs are categorized as vertical 9:16 videos up to 60s. So, it doesn't match the requirements YouTube and Instagram have.
Therefore, a vertical video of say1m20s would fall into the video category and by default be displayed as 16:9.
I assume all this can change at any moment and I haven't yet looked into how it compares with e.g. Nostube.

Having worked myself for the UN Environment Program for 10+ years, I can confirm that much of today's funding has to be squeezed in and made fit for less urgent or insignificant matters, just to feed the climate change narrative.
As to whether climate change is real, I concur with Gregg Braden ... climate change is absolutely real, always has been. But man isn't significantly responsible for it. So, all the monitoring and control structures put in place make close to no sense.
In addition, as @nprofile…tkhj mentioned, you can't halt climate change nor achieve environmental sustainability for that matter within a system that can only exist based on continuous growth. All 'good' intentions and measures by environmentalists and politicians can't change that fact.
So, before I left the UN, I gave a presentation on Bitcoin and consciousness raising to my team at the time. I was smiled at, not taken seriously of course. And then I had to go, because I felt and know that no needed profound change can come from within the existing system. We have to live and build the new ourselves 🙏🏼

I agree. At the same time we have to take full responsibility and understand that it is US who built these manipulative centralized structures in the first place. So, change, first and foremost, happens from within for everybody. Decentralized structures help to maneuver us out of the mess, giving us more space to do the inner work. Without the inner work, though, decentralized systems alone won't create a more peaceful and sustainable world either.

List and grid view are proven ways it appears. They are also used in Notally and Google Keep. Same thing for the 'tags' or 'labels'. I use a monochrome Daylight tablet often, so colors don't help me much. But yeah, keeping it clean, fast and working reliably is the most important!

Same here!! Nothing works on Primal since more than a day now, no replies, notes, articles ... nothing shows up reliably. All good on Amethyst and Nostria, but since I got a Primal subscription and work with primal servers and relays, everything's affected 😑

It's so good to see this app already working so well! I was looking for an open source, private notes app for use across devices and systems with similar convenience such as Google Keep for a long time. Joplin was the closest, but the syncing issues often got frustrating. Manent just works fast and quick and is based on Nostr, how cool is that?! Most important next features for me:
- Shorter overview display of notes (grid or list view) as not to scroll up and down forever;
- Organization of notes with tags

Yes, true. In my view, that has to do with the fact that the level of consciousness in society hasn't caught up in the same way as technological capabilities develop. Of course the political & economic system we built doesn't encourage awareness beyond the material, quite the opposite. Yeah, we need to rely on our (hopefully) sharpened intuition and distill the information that ring true. Mostly fake and confusion out there. That's what spritual education does ... it sharpens your awareness beyond mind and matter.
