There is a difference between an app being in an official repository and others. Yes there was not in Europe, because in Europe there were various tribes scatteted here and there not exclusively by big rivers. Not the same situation. In Egypt and mesopotamia the life was possible because of these big rivers. The people lived there, the scale was bigger there, solutions had to be found on various problems that did not exist in Europe at the time. And they did a very good job on many cases. The same in India btw. The rivers coming from the himalayan mountains, made the soil fertile, people could have 4 crops yearly. Why do you think India has such a massive population and had a significant civilisation? Search on how rivers shaped civilisations. I am sure you will find great stuff. I will try to post a link too
