yeah, well, with a kind registry you could enforce a "standard", if you want to register a nostr kind, you should have it on the bitcoin blockchain. it's only valid for a few year, until someone else claim it, kinda like a decentralised domain name system.
people agreeing with the kind, can re-register it, enforcing it's availability over time.
many things are possible. The only thing I know, is that Nostr Nips are essentially a kind registry, it's confusing and messy.

Nostr can't take any more NIPs, we need a Kind Registry.
NIP-01 to NIP-10 should be rewritten as the nostr whitepaper. Defining default relay behavior, ephemeral/addressable/replaceable kind ranges.
This whitepaper would declare a kind registry, that anyone can use to register a meaning to a kind.
then the NIP system would be kept for things like NIP-29, NIP-43, NIP77, things that are explicitly changing the relay behaviour. It would shrink the NIP repo dramatically and make Nostr more approachable for newcomers.

Yes. Sure if the dice only return 1, it’s bad, but if you rotate them randomly do your own weird entropy with it, it’s quite good. The problem of the coldcard is a SPF, if only one person used it and the RNG was kept secret, it would have been secured.
That’s why I’m so wary of any hardware wallet, everybody use the exact same RNG, if a pattern is found, game over. External entropy on such small dumb device is tiny.

You wouldn’t know which dice I’m using, every detail of my own entropy generated seed, I know exactly what method you used when you’re doing with a computer.
Your RNG will fall long before sha256 breaks, it’s useful in that sense I guess. Just be mindful that this coldcard break is not the last. You are human, a treasure of entropy, use it.
