Although there is a huge amount of stupid people in the world, I’m still amazed by how many smart ones there are (smarter than me anyway and I consider myself fairly smart).

Ah much more clear to the Vulcan part of my brain. I don’t know if I have the mental capacity to delve into it. Although I would like to understand all of that more, I would have to figure out what of the things I’m currently doing to drop so my brain had room to absorb it. I also struggle with that kind of prose. Do you seriously just write up (or talk) long replies like that off the top of your head, or reuse text or something? Impressive either way.

Doesn’t seem you can choose in most clients. Nostur actually has a button you can toggle. YakiHonne has a separate list for messages but you can’t specify. Ditto shows which relays do what and can choose read/write but not auth. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Yes, my point exactly. Other than tech industry people, most people I know don’t use or even know what a VPN is. We can probably assume that many who find there way to Nostr have some tech savvy, but to increase adoption either VPN is somehow included transparently in clients or somehow the rest of the world gets with it and starts using VPN’s regardless.
