Instead, the case was handled through a criminal order, limiting public scrutiny.
Ebbing asked that his case be handled in the expedited procedure with a criminal order. He referred to the “modest prominence” that he had “at least in a certain Berlin bubble”. A main public hearing, he argued, would also be a serious blow to the German–Israeli Society if the allegations became known. Since October 7, Hebbing argued, such non-disclosure had become even more important to prevent harm to society. The district court allowed Ebbing’s request.
This resulted in a court decision that prioritised protecting reputation and institutional relationships with Israel over full transparency in a case involving the abuse of German children.

The language caused an uproar, and rightly so. But Judge VanDyke is not wrong.
This is literally a case about whether men with male genitalia have a right to access and expose themselves in what are intended to be female-only spaces, where women and girls as young as 13 are naked.
It is a clear example of the real-world harms to female citizens that result when the words “women” and “girls” are redefined to include males.
It is shameful that judges and pundits should be more interested in language-policing those who speak out against sex crimes than in preventing those crimes against women in the first place.

According to German crime statistics, 37 percent of sex suspects in 2022 did not have a German passport, while barely 2.5 percent of the German population consists of immigrants. However, immigrants are also enormously overrepresented in murder and manslaughter cases, reports NZZ.
A city or state that takes in many asylum seekers will see its crime figures increase explosively within a few years. For example, this is the case in Hamburg, where the number of crimes increased by 40 percent in 2023 compared to the previous year. In Rhineland-Palatinate, this increase is even higher at 78 percent compared to 2021. In another state, police figures indicate eight reports of individual rapes per day last year.
There are now two gang rapes per day throughout Germany, with immigrants being overrepresented in these cases. “What have you unleashed on our people? You bear responsibility for the decline in internal security,” AfD chairman Alice Weidel recently said in the German parliament.
