I took a day off recently, and had the grandparents watch the kid, so my wife and I could go out and enjoy lunch.

My wife is currently dealing with a clogged milk duct. We have been following advice we got from our Doula.

They claimed the song was originally about pulling yourself up by your bootstraps, sarcastically. But people took it sexually, and they leaned into it, as they desperately needed a hit, and hadn't had one yet. This song is from their third album.
I listened to some other early Devo stuff, and it's pretty rough. They were certainly trying to be counter-culture at the time.

If you believe the official science on Evolution, it tells you that Evolution takes place over extremely long periods of time. Europeans haven't changed much in 100,000 years.
So I find it hard to believe that people were as primitive as they are portrayed 10,000 years ago.
But, I do think that just having language allows you to be smarter. So it could be language as a tool doing some of the heavy lifting.
