Hagelsteuer ist eine gute Idee. Die müsste dann ja besonders für Autofahrer gelten, weil die Beulen vom Hagelschaden das Wasser auf dem Autodach auffangen und somit die Straße schneller abnutzen.

My understanding is:
If the dormant wallets re-activate and the Bitcoin gets in touch with the legacy banking system (read: someone tries to cash out via a KYC exchange), the dude „Noah Doe“, who started the law suit, could claim the coins are his since he reported the addresses „found“.
From the protocol side, you’re right, it’s BS since dude Noah cannot move coins without the private keys but it could tie the value up in a legal mess as soon as the actual owner of the private keys wants to use his corn.

I first listened to Richard Werner on the What is Money Show by Breedlove and thought he had really interesting things to say about the history of money.

I‘d agree. Cross Company Cooperarion could be mutual beneficial.
a) As a „taker of serious inspiration“: Why going through the hassle of reinventing the wheel if you can just profit from the „inspiration source‘s“ work. The savings in resources/capacity and budgets to reverse engineering existing products could be worth finding a financial arrangement with the „inspiration source“.
b) As a „provider of serious inspiration“: This approach shows your confidence in your own capabilities, avoid potential legal costs/hassle and even could help protecting the products‘ and tech‘s core and at the same time further your network and insights into other companies. Maybe you’ll even find inspiration vice versa.
And nothing beats spending time with people that are passionately into the same things as you.
