Don't know much about keet so had an AI do a comparison of it and SimpleX. Seems to have some trade offs but if this explanation is accurate at least it is p2p instead of running through centralized servers.
That being said a self hosted SimpleX is pretty great. I really enjoy it.

iOS didn't let you use custom icons for apps until 2020.... How does android suck when it has let you change almost every aspect of your phone for decades?
I think what people usually mean is that they like that iphones have iMessages and icloud where all the apps constantly sync to iCloud without the user having to think. That and airdrop launching in 2013.
My GrapheneOS pixel lets me install whatever I want from any source I want so I install open source everything from github and zapstore, let's me make it look like anything I want including but not limited to looking almost identical to an iphone, it doesn't secretly spy on me and all my keystrokes or force packets of data around my vpns back to apple servers, has every nostr client, lets me connect to all my own servers with self hosted apps privately.... Goes on and on. I'm very confused as to how android "sucks" relative to ios.
Oh and btw on android you can just run bluebubbles or openbubbles and have iMessages without having your entire phone be one big spy device for apple. 🤙

Good luck convincing the bitcoiner MacOS squad. They don't care about privacy or sovereignty as much as the simplicity of a third party solving their problems.
I've heard bitcoin podcasters that are seemingly technical people complain about having to install drivers on Linux to make their audio and webcam work.
It's not 2007 Linux and they don't seem to have any determination to make their daily driver computer be what they want it to be or take ownership over it.

If you don't run an open source firmware like WRT on your WiFi router your pen and paper are not private. WiFi can accurately map your entire house. Also if you have not covered up all cameras on all devices those are watching.
You have to make several switches if you are serious about fixing this issue.
1. Linux distributions that are not corporate on all devices. GrapheneOS on phone or a Linux phone but know Linux phones are less secure than grapheneOS.
2. OpenWRT router and go through it painstakingly to make sure you use your VPNs correctly and block domains such as those used in spying on you even more with smart TVs.
3. Either get rid of smart TVS and smart devices or at very least block all their IPs at router level.
4. Split your life into many categories. Either use certain devices for certain categories or at the least get a shit ton of email aliases.
5. Tor, mix nets, or at least different VPN servers for different devices from reputable providers where you paid in non kyc bitcoin or cash.
6. Yoink out any telemetry units and cameras from your car.
7. Stop using apple and google services.
8. Self host your own services.
9. Get either proton or tuta emails if you won't host your own email.
10. If you want truly private self hosted AI you can do it but its going to cost $$$ to run and then you set it up to run as a service like ollama you can reach away from home via wireguard
The list goes on and on and on. But few people will ever truly make the changes. If you're going to complain, try and be an example. You already use AI. You can teach yourself how to do all of this or you can keep living in fear.
Oh yeah. Most important thing after tor and/or VPN. Only use computers where either Intel ME has been removed from the CPU entirely..... or use pre 2012 AMD chips and/or pre 2007 Intel chips 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 government already has those backdoors inside the CPU chip. We're fucked. Have a good one!!!!
