I launched a Crowdfunding campaign for a new record today. I'm making my second full-length EP in May! 😬😬😬 I've been at this whole music thing for a lllllong time now, and I've learned so much and had so many wonderful experiences I wouldn't have had if I made different life choices. If I hadn't chosen a life where I'm constantly on the edge of my comfort zone, where everything feels a little (or a lot) risky, where I found MY PEOPLE. New Mexico - land of enchantment 🏜️ the place where "Dust to Settle" came into being. The first single off this new EP hits the streaming thingies in one week. In trying to come up with this post, I got to go through touring photos and reminisce on the long drives and wild landscapes. New Mexico is weird and beautiful and mysterious all at once. At shows, I often tell the story that this song was inspired by a billboard along I-10 in New Mexico that reads "WAIT until the dust settles". I took advantage of the long drive ahead of me and this prompt from the universe to write a song about patience. About taking a moment to regroup before running headlong into the storm. Sometimes I feel like if I just keep charging ahead, all the baggage, stress, problems, will get left behind. But of course we've all seen enough rom-coms and Hallmark movies to know that doesn't work very well. This song is about slowing down, accepting your circumstances, and moving forward when you're ready. Coming to Wavlake Jan 15th.

AMEN! I'm a musician who has played music for ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, etc. People spend way too much money on weddings and they want things to go *exactly* right and they never do. You don't need to spend that much money to have a good time.nIf I ever tie the knot, my budget is going mostly towards a rad band (because all my friends are musicians) and good food - which I want hot dogs, baked beans and corn on the cob. We'll go to Costco and Trader Joe's for booze and we'll dance the night away. 👌
