it worked for a few years until it didnt. i don't think people understood. our bitcoin run went from 2019 to 2024. not bad. but it showed us that people still dont see or want to see what its all about.
and i agree with getting growers to accept coin. maslow's needs. but i think what makes things difficult is that gov has such a monopoly on the marketing of money. it has to break. people need to suffer. pain is the teacher.
until then, it's all up hill still.

first payments. the service.
payments, people slowly stopped. no reason. just not interested. we paid people direct. but then that stopped. clients at first were interested. slowly, the friction of converting deterred them. then no one wanted to do business in bitcoin anymore. that starved service demand too. we started converting on our own.
but eventually, outsourcing ate it all. can't compete that low.

spent 8 weeks building out a film production platform that tries to make the most of agentic ai, local models, and way to operate without using nodes. my goal was to create something that helps me focus on the craft of filmmaking.
some things worked. others didn't. the friction between trying to make and fixing what breaks got real. i'd start something. something breaks. momentum lost. loop.
start.
stop.
repeat.
have to bench it for now. films to make. deadlines on deck.
learned a lot.
maybe in a month... i'll come at it with a new perspective and ideas.
coding aint my full time. something i'm learning on the go. it's been educational.

chokepoints like kyc/aml on a lot of serivces. we use to use spritz finance for paying bills. but they started using persona and it killed that for us. tried another method. zypto. have to dl their wallet, but bill pay also required kyc/aml. persona... that's friction. resorted to p2p trades. person pays our bill we pay them bitcoin. lotta begging. not fun. don't want to strike or cashapp. but leaning that way. bank accounts looking like a solution... going backwards.
we travel a lot. use to get gift cards and debit cards. debit card started limiting amounts. we found travala. it works.
we use to do just about 90% of our life with bitcoin. when we live out of the US, it's doable. just go to countries where its more accepted. but in the US... seems like all it's good for is hodlin' or spookin' normies.
and yeah, merchant adoption... friction everywhere.

living on bitcoin. haven't written in a while. just got nothing to say. nothing to really share. very niche readership. to be honest it all changed after i finished writing the book. felt like i said all i needed to say. and that was that. the book hasn't sold yet. it's actually quite hard to sell considering its only available on plebeian market.
but why not use another platform?
i would if i had a bank account.
maybe its time to get one and join the rest of the world.
have a book signing at a local book store. it'll be my first time doing something like that. meet people. share the story. almost got the store to take bitcoin.
it all takes time. the words physical though. outside of me. lives on paper.

oh... and on desktop, the keybindings work similar to ghostty, so you can do what you need to without jumping to the mouse.
just a personal preference.

i've been using it for a couple months.
focused a lot on ux/ui experience.
the reason... i hate the hermes tui look... and i felt like i wasn't really taking advantage of the agentic resource.
i also wanted a tool that i could operate the household from with the mrs (and eventually other fam members)...

the agent system is a hub/spoke model.
prime agent + a bunch of subagent
the general channel is tui level access. it reads/writes/executes/searches has persistent memory and helps with task writing, organizing and all the bitcoin stuff
it sees all and knows all.
the sub-channels are all subagents. they can read/write but to execute it needs to escalate up to prime agent
you get a pop-up (terminal style) to execute
for home use, the model taps local models and storage
for other users, it's bring your own keys, bring your own storage
it never touches your data
i've only got one friend using it thus far to help me test and troubleshoot.
but there ya go... that's what i've been working on for a while...
i'm not a technical person.
just an artist who wants to tap the tool for what it's worth...
