that being said, if subversive.pics grows in (active) "users", I will have to change how the website itself works, because currently it shows 5 last post of EVERY member chronologically. With more people this turns it into an html bomb. You probably don't want to download 50 megabytes every time just to see the 3 new images.

Basically I need to pull out two things, a direct link to image/thumbnail, and date.
in the ideal world, the filenames would be in unix-epoch so I could only look for a single line per post. But I know this isn't ideal - I don't like it either, some people use semantic file names, or tags, which makes more sense for accessibility.
But! As long as the feed has <link>direct://url.to.image
and
<pubDate>(that's rss valid)
That's fine.
Also if pubDate was in UTC-0, I wouldn't have to do magemathical formulas :')

Thank you :rek_dot_bit: Sometimes i think it's confusing and hard to navigate, but I guess it's a feature.
re subversive: it greps for the last `n' image-files and dates in the rss feeds provided, sorts, and rebuilds the webpage and own feed. It does it hourly.
The feeds it aggregates (with permission or by request) are listed at the top of the website subversive.pics
