So many social media posts by ex-academics who suddenly discover how exhausting, how capitalistic, how shitty academia was and hence exited. But when you look carefully at their narrative, they somewhere let on that they applied for many jobs but didn't get hired anywhere so they changed careers. Sour grapes etc.

There is no need for uniformity in say when a marriage is considered legal (as in after what process/rituals). Uniformity needn't be the goal, justness should be. And personal laws haven't been static; they have continuously been going through change over the decades.

Personal laws can be amended and made more gender-just before we go for UCC. Uniformity doesn't have to be the goal, more just laws should be the goal.
