honestly I stopped bothering with anything related to online meetups or dating when I was dating primarily women in 2019, had awful weird and jarring experiences, but mostly the ghosting and mixed messages. I agree with vriska that their business model is to keep people miserable.
I'm not saying I haven't formed meaningful relationships online or on fedi but in my experience, the lasting connections came from a common interest or goal, not inorganically trying to force a relationship or or friendship.

I'm not assuming that at all. I'm pointing out that it's a contradiction to frame Zimmerman as practicing self defense over a situation he himself created. On the 911 call he made a comment making assumptions about Martin which speak for itself.
If Trayvon killed Zimmerman in self defense I doubt the crime scene would have gotten treated the way it was.
What do I mean by that? There was no arrest of Zimmerman and the scene wasn't treated like a crime scene or secured. You know damn well it would have gone another way had things gone another way.
Regardless, this talking point is only one example and it's grasping at straws to deflect from the bigger picture. We know that Black Americans are diaporportionately targeted and murdered via police violence, it's really a matter of whether you justify it or not.
Very telling to try dying on this hill when we can all hear the 911 call for ourselves. I don't need to watch a documentary from a biased perspective to form my own conclusion.

Fact: Zimmerman chose to pursue Martin leading to a physical altercation
Your justification is self defense, stand your ground shit. That would also apply to Trayvon Martin if he had felt threatened.
Ultimately you are not going to convince me that Zimmerman didn't have prejudice or biases influencing his decision. I doubt he would have pursued Trayvon that night if he wasn't Black. If you're being followed at night you're not going to feel safe. The tape sounds like Zimmerman was running in pursuit. I would throw hands too.
Ultimately, it speaks to anyone's moral character to hold a 17 year old responsible for their own death over a grown adult. But hey, that attitude is exactly what makes this shithole country what it is.

if your source is a "documentary" and not the direct sources of evidence then why would I waste my time?
I remember the 911 call, Zimmerman was choosing to follow him despite being instructed not to. Read the 911 transcript and tell me that sounds like a reasonable gun owner. Even if what you're saying is true, it doesn't justify shooting a 17 year old. The situation played out exactly as it did because Zimmerman chose to pursue Martin.
And then you bring up some claims about Zimmerman not being racist because he mentored Black kids. Explain why he would auction the gun used to shoot Trayvon while knowing the national outage caused by his death?
Overall, this is only one case and you seem to be the type to believe that systemic racism and discrimination against Black Americans doesn't exist. For any Black person killed by LE you seem to lick the boot and come up with justifications for it.
However I know you conveniently failed to mention Breonna Taylor because it doesn't suit your narrative. Neither does confronting how Black Americans are disproportionately killed by LE.

Meat aside, agricultural workers are largely exploited and vegans do not give a fuck for the most part. All the arguments vegans use for veganism have nothing to do with the fact that humans have been consuming meat for centuries, same with animals consuming other animals. They largely view eating meat as morally wrong or speciesism. They do little for actual ecological conservation efforts or advocacy against modifying seeds.

There are way more ICE related deaths than what is being reported. My friend saw their father bleed out before their eyes with the grandma watching while he was detained. A completely treatable condition. I've never seen his name reported in ICE related deaths from this year or the last.
Things are a lot worse than what they're showing. If/when someone dies they limit phone calls for the day and punish the detainees.
