I cannot express my frustration with Intel and AMD at this point. It's 10 years and counting since deep learning should have been on everybody's radar and they still cannot seem to grasp that you need _software support_ to make people use your chips.
This NVidia monopoly on #ai hardware is not good for anybody. We need a little competition in this space.

I don't know about FB, but during the Twitter takeover, it was pretty clear that Musk gutted the company of anybody who wasn't absolutely dependent on job security for their VISA.
Everybody who didn't leave in disgust was going to do whatever he said with no questions asked.
