Don’t know who the speaker is, but none of the history he describes was secret or hidden - just not of interest to the mainstream median.
DARPA is not secret and it’s requests for proposals are not either, nor is the origin and use of Emergency Use Authorization. DARPA doesn’t invent on its own; it pays creative teams to invent.
The collaboration between DoD and FDA is also public and goes back at least to 9/11 and the anthrax attacks, but government programs and funding for vaccines and bioweapon countermeasures go back much further. Government (U.S. , European, Asian) goes back at least to the early 1900s.

The one with the yellow flower and white seeds is dandelion. As others have noted, the roots and the leaves are good as food (roots dried and leaves fresh - in salads or soups for example. Dandelion contains a high level of antioxidants and may be useful in reducing inflammation when taken as a tea.
The other photo is plantain (or in Russian podorozhnik, which translates to “by the road.”). This plant is very common and be eaten as an addition to salad. The mashed leaves and root extracts have been used in folk medicine to treat wounds and burns.

The adults don’t live long (week or two) and don’t reproduce indoors. Preventing more from coming in is key and some pest services do crack sealing and inspection. Supposedly the bugs don’t like substances like mint oil or eucalyptus oil and those can be sprayed indoors into places they may hide to disincentivize them to hang out indoors. Fortunately they are not harmful to humans, pets, or houseplants.

You might find it interesting to scan the wikipedia entry on the plant genus that includes angel’s trumpet. It’s close relative is sometimes called belladonna and they both are related to tobacco (and more distantly tomatoes, potatoes, and eggplants.
Like most things, these plants and knowledge of them can be (and are) used for both good and evil.

However, in my opinion that’s about the only promise Trump has kept, and the Republ-tyrants don’t really have a better overall record than the Demo-tyrants going back a long way.
