Right.. but you also need progressives to run in primaries. Voter turnout is a huge part but we need to keep pushing out the establishment with more progressive candidates. Even with low voter turnout DSA backed candidates won about 54% of their races. That's huge. However, 91% of Democratic primary elections in 2024 didn't have a DSA backed candidate at all. You're making a mountain out of a molehill.

Everyone keeps making the same mistake. I'm not defending non-voters. I've been saying that the fix is to ensure we have people to vote for that overcome the cynicism and perfectionism. "Vote blue no matter who" is Liberal propaganda that keeps them in power.

I think perfection is unattainable but we should have candidates that are worthwhile; but voting for the lesser evil and the candidate "most likely to win" are also footguns. That's why it's important to have candidates that are worth voting for.
