Went through a checklist thing where you need to add your top 50 songs of all time and while that’s an almost impossible task to do properly ranking every song equally to see who meets the cut, some songs did come naturally and I was reconnected with the amazing Supercrush! By Devin Townsend Project, which still has one of my favourite mantras in its chorus that I still remind myself of everyday since I first heard the song well over a decade ago at this point. Anyway just an amazing piece.

Started watching as I heard it dealt with trauma themes and that always lures me in, but was surprised in the ways it handled it. Majority of the show is packaged as teen drama slop with stereotypical characters you can drag and drop from any soap opera, however the show being targeted for obviously younger viewers had a (in my opinion) clear agenda for teaching lessons to young people about how to handle your friends and partners who are victims of trauma, DV and assault. They put effort into showing the two main characters come to terms with and heal and move on from their past by learning to open up and trust each other fully and their scenes were very difficult to watch at times, but the message was very sweet and I think it is probably something I would recommend older teens watch. The side stories and dialogue were predictable and cheesy but again mostly had a decent message and included one of my favorite Neurodivergent life hacks - a character noticing someone masking in their own house and saying "Just show me what you would be doing right now if I wasn't here" so points to them for that. The music and cover songs were quite decent also and I did like how they showed how PTSD can impact and regress simple skills like writing. Overall outside of certain scenes it is a silly not deep show but I actually think it's message is important enough to wait through the rest of the slop. Highly uncomfortable though for those who struggle with Suspension of Disbelief Failure and displays of vulnerability & unfiltered happiness in self-expression or physical intimacy scenes.
