We've been doing aeromagnetic surveys for decades. How did field strengths behave before? Who knows. What we do know is fairly simple, after decades of using them as calibrations, around 8-10 years ago, the required frequency of measuring step changed and has been becoming shorter and shorter. I hear you. Not sure on the disaster side of the context myself and also not sure on timeframe potential for these things. As a geo, you kind get educated into this whole slow process thing and everything takes a long time etc and then you go to work, look at rocks and that doesn't make sense. Episodic is more realistic.
But my point wasn't to say I agree with thesis, just interesting data point for people. It's been quite a dramatic change we see. Ties in with all the aurora changes too. I find it quite interesting but might simply be because it's in my field of study, work and curiosity

For anyone listening to Kruse regarding the whole magnetic fields thing, I won't stick oar in at all but here's a little thing many don't know.
When drilling an oil well, we need to know the direction and we use magnetometers. The local magnetic field is used to calibrate and correct the readings to deviation from north. Due to gradual shift in magnetic pole, we would update local models with an airborne gravimetric survey once or twice per year to keep the correction factor up to date.
That was then, like a while ago. Then some operators started doing it slightly more frequently cause they were changing more frequently. Now it's once a week for some.

I agree with that but also think the division caused in the community should be enough to signal that these additions to the Blockchain are simply not desired by many. The argument that the solution is trial by fire of adoption in the market is understandably rational from a game theoretic perspective but am not sure it's the most positive approach. Was more thinking invite others to build together. Some have curiosity and fear or confusion. I'm personally trying to build some insane shit foryself but when speak to other geologists, they're just not comfortable going out of their lane. I'd add awareness of core strength (honestly) and consider pilates. Men have bad tendency there and am as guilty as any other. Lift weights, do cardio, under focus on core, over stress lower back. My missus is a pilates instructor. Took a 71 year old from bound to her apartment to going out dancing in 3 months over zoom. Find a good instructor. PV

Might find the time to listen to this. Starting first few minutes, I see that's Bill Browder. If watching this, I'd recommend watching the magnitsky affair to balance out. Putin never really said much publicly of meaning about the whole thing. Browder is a corrupt vulture capitalist. There's a doorway in every policy related building in governments. When you walk through, you temporarily forget the meaning of the word incentive. A friend who used to work in policy in uk govt got driven round the bend and eventually quit because years of trying to think of the effects of a policy got worked around by people within a week of implementation.
