What I noticed from going to Bitcoin conferences around the world is that we rarely talks about Bitcoin.
I mean, yeah, there's that occasionally bashing of the Fiat system, and some deep tech conversations here and there, but mostly we just talk about normal, everyday stuff. Mostly about food and lifestyle.

ผมเคยตั้งคำถามว่า แล้วเงินเฟ้อล่ะ การที่ปริมาณเงินเพิ่มขึ้นจากกระบวนการผลิตสินเชื่อทำให้ข้าวของทุกอย่างแพงขึ้นก็ดูเหมือนจะเป็นสิ่งแน่นอนอีกสิ่งหนึ่ง โดยเฉพาะในช่วง 100 ปีที่ผ่านมา หลังจากการก่อตั้ง Federal Reserve หรือเปล่านะ
แต่เมื่อคิดดูดี ๆ เงินเฟ้อก็คือภาษีรูปแบบหนึ่งนั่นเอง
เมื่อรัฐบาลต้องการใช้เงินเพื่อการใดก็ตาม รัฐบาลมีวิธีหาเงินหลัก ๆ อยู่สองวิธี ได้แก่การเก็บภาษี หรือการขายพันธบัตร แต่ในช่วงศตวรรษที่ผ่านมา รัฐบาลได้ค้นพบวิธีใหม่ นั่นคือการนำเอาเงินในอนาคตมาเป็นสินทรัพย์ในการผลิตเงินในปัจจุบัน สิ่งนี้ทำให้รัฐบาลสหรัฐอเมริกามีอำนาจผลิตเงินขึ้นมาจากอากาศได้อย่างไม่จำกัด
หลังจากการประดิษฐ์คิดค้นเทคโนโลยีทางการบัญชีอันทรงพลานุภาพนี้ รัฐบาลก็ไม่จำเป็นต้องเก็บภาษี หรือขายพันธบัตรให้กับประชาชนอีกต่อไป รัฐจะทำสงครามกับใคร ก็พิมพ์เงินเอ รัฐจากสร้างทางหลวงไปไหน ก็พิมพ์เงินเอา รัฐจะสร้างบ้านให้คนจน ก็พิมพ์เงินเอา
ฟังดูเหมือนประชาชนจะไม่ได้เสียหายอะไรจากการกระทำเช่นนี้ เพราะเงินของพวกเขายังอยู่ดี
แต่ไม่ใช่
เงินที่ถูกผลิตออกมาใหม่ เมื่อเข้าสู่ระบบเศรษฐกิจ ก็จะนำมาสู่อำนาจในการจับจ่ายและความต้องการซื้อสินค้าที่มาแข่งขันกันกับความต้องการเดิมของตลาด ส่งผลให้เกิดการยกระดับราคาสินค้าขึ้นโดยเฉลี่ย
ผลก็คือเงินของทุกคน ซื้อของได้น้อยลง
สุดท้ายแล้ว การพิมพ์เงิน ก็ไม่ได้ต่างอะไรกับการเก็บภาษีนั่นเอง
แต่ต่างกันที่ภาษีนั้น ถ้าเก็บมากเกินไป ประชาชนก็อาจต่อต้าน ไม่เสียภาษี หรือลุกขึ้นปฏิวัติรัฐบาลได้นั่นเอง แม้การขึ้นอัตราภาษีและการสอดแทรกกฎหมายภาษีวิปลาศรูปแบบใหม่ ๆ มาตลอดเกือบหนึ่งร้อยปี จะประสบความสำเร็จในการต้มกบ ให้ประชาชนทั่วโลกจำเป็นต้องแบ่งส่วนแบ่งของผลกำไรของพวกเขาตั้งแต่ 30 ไปจนถึงมากกว่า 60% ให้กับรัฐบาล ทั้ง ๆ ที่พวกเขาต้องแบกรับความเสี่ยงทั้งหมดเต็มจำนวน แต่มันก็ทำได้เพียงช้า ๆ
แต่การพิมพ์เงินสามารถสร้างเงินและอำนาจการจับจ่ายให้กับรัฐที่มีแต่ความต้องการใช้จ่ายแต่ไม่มีปัญญาหาเงินมาใช้จ่ายได้อย่างไม่จำกัด
การเก็บภาษีผ่านเงินเฟ้อ ทำให้เงินในกระเป๋าของประชาชนทุกคน ถูกสูบเอามูลค่าออกไปทีละน้อย แต่ต่อเนื่องมาเป็นเวลากว่า 50 ปี
ในวันนี้เงินเก็บจากห้าสิบกว่าปีที่แล้ว สูญเสียอำนาจการจับจ่ายไปแล้วกว่า 95% และนี่คือภาษีที่โหดร้ายที่สุด ที่ทำร้ายประชาชนไม่เลือกหน้า ลงโทษประชาชนผู้มีวินัยทางการเงิน และคอยให้ท้ายผู้ใช้จ่ายฟุ่มเฟือย
ถึงเวลาแล้วที่เราจะมีสิ่งที่แน่นอนเพิ่มอีกสิ่ง
ด้วยบิตคอยน์ที่มีจำนวนจำกัด รัฐบาลจะไม่สามารถเสกเงินออกจากกระเป๋าของประชาชนได้อีกต่อไป เงินที่มีนโยบายการเงินมั่นคงแข็งแกร่งไม่มีมนุษย์หน้าไหนจะเปลี่ยนแปลงได้ จะพาสมดุลย์กลับมาสู่สังคมมนุษย์อีกครั้ง ด้วยการทำให้การออมเป็นสิ่งที่สามารถทำได้อีกครั้ง ด้วยการเปลี่ยนเงินลงทุนจากหนี้ที่เสกขึ้นมาในบัญชี เป็นเงินออมที่ผ่านการสั่งสมมาเป็นเวลานาน

Though I partially agree with the concept, the problem is you'd still need to convert your Bitcoin to and from Monero and that touch point is really difficult to maintain privacy.
Also, for spending, you'd need a wide adoption, otherwise you'll be forced to spend to a third party who can facilitate payments from one currency to another and when said money cannot store value effectively, adoption is even harder to catch on.
Or am I wrong?

As I sit watching this in my garden, bathing in the warm light of the sun, fighting off insects.... I'm grateful that my region seems to be behind the schedule if that's true.
OASN: from a photography standpoint, the angle of the sun plays a big role in the 'coloration' too.
Here in Thailand, being an equatorial country, things are more colorful and 'pretty' during the winter/spring (Thai's summer) where the sun path is lowest to the south and pretty bland in other month where the sun would more or less be directly above our head.

I've been using non fluoridated toothpaste for the past few years and my plaque are much more manageable (oil pulling was able to get rid of all of it), no more cavity, all seems well but the research I read are quite mixed.. 🤔

Darkness of chocolate is to to with the ratio between chocolate and milk. It could be 99% dark and still loaded with sugar. I made that mistake many years ago. (BTW unsweetened cacao is pretty amazing once you get used to it.)

It's mostly coconut oil. But I've started adding clove oil to the mix.
But the way it works, I suspect even seed oils would probably work to a certain degree.... Or atleast other fruit oil. (There's a research showing palm oil and olive oil having the same efficacy.l)

Twelve days into trying out oil pulling.
Managed to get to 17 minutes twice.
It's tough.
I can floss much easier now, and I'm seeing less plaque buildup. Nothing dramatic yet. But I suspect you can get the same result if you swish and pull anything for 15 minutes.

Spending on a sound money standard happens after a certain 'maturity' period.
The more people save today, the more they can, and will, spend in the future.
Deferred consumption is very different from consumption sacrifice, as the former merely postpones consumption while the latter involves willingly and intentionally giving up or incurring a cost in terms of money, time, or preference. Consumption sacrifice represents a permanent forfeiture of consumption rather than just delaying it to a future date.
This is something Keynesians are not willing to understand as it complicates the use of monetary and fiscal policies.
Lower your time preference does not equate to abandoning your time preference.
Life is easier under the bitcoin standard.
