I remember back in grade school our lab had Apple IIe machines and a shared hard drive mounted on the wall that would boot a program selection menu. I remember the drive was (physically) large, at least 8-inch, sealed in a transparent housing. At the time I didn't think much about this setup but now I wonder how that setup worked. This was in SE Minnesota and I remember the boot screen had something about some SE MN educational computing organization on it. (The games were all MECC, as far as I can remember.) Anybody know or have any good guesses what this setup was?
