I didn't mean that every bit of software needs a paywall, I meant that we shouldn't be building stuff that has so little value to the users that they won't help monetize it because then we need to have intransparent financing for everything.
We don't want to be like communists, who claim everything should be free because the government pays for it.

Someone convinced them to start a war and promised them backing or something, and I want to know who it is.
I actually don't think it's Israel or Iran or the USA. I'm tempted to think it's Russia, but I think it's China. They sit on the Security Council.
I think this might be a distraction for the West before an invasion of Taiwan and this was all discussed at the BRICS meeting. China just abruptly changed out its defense minister and is rapidly arming and nobody is paying attention.
But that's all my conspiracy theorizing for today.

Almost everyone is writing exclusively to a few big relays. Mostly lol, band, and the big app relays (damus, snort, primal).
Relays are heavy concentrated. Broadcasters make it worse because they mean you don't actually have to be on the relay and read from it, so everyone stays concentrated.
If you turn them off, you only see higher-quality notes, which is an interesting experience.

My parents' house in Maryland is like that. Mostly black people living there.

The second one was a big problem and has made it hard to have RL female friends.
It's easier for guys because they can bond over shared interests, but women bond over a shared worldview and I don't know any IRL under the age of 70 who share mine. The older ones are dying and soon there will be none.
