Really enjoyed your recap of your 1st Vipassana course! Sounds like you went pretty deep and made some real progress during the 10 days. Most of my experiences outside of the ordinary also happen while lying in bed after the day's meditation. Great job with keeping up the daily sits! From what I can tell with the help of AI, early miner signaling is a poor predictor of ultimate activation. In user-activated movements, miners only capitulate when the economic consequences become immediate.
In 2017, a third of the mining network genuinely wanted SegWit for its technical optimization benefits (like fixing transaction malleability to help scale Layer 2). They flipped Bit 1 voluntarily because it helped their long-term infrastructure. And, the % signaling for it at this approximate time before pre-BIP activation date was higher.
With BIP 110, miners face a direct, immediate financial penalty if they activate it: they have to give up fees generated by the 100kb data and inscription transactions allowed under Core V30. Since miners are incentivized by short-term revenue, almost none of them are going to voluntarily signal Bit 4 right now.
The game theory of BIP110 is structurally different from Segwit. So, I think it's too early to discount it. At the same time, depending on how you define "success", it is too early to claim victory. But, I don't agree that Knots is "lying".

I appreciate your summary but I think you glossed over that bip110 was a reaction to core blowing out op return AND all this happened while Bitcoin was hovering at all time highs. So the price isn't what is driving the conflict. The cause of bip110 was op return limits were increased by 1200x.

I came to the realization that it is a mirror of yourself... it reflects your input back to you. For high performing individuals, it can be a problem because you are not used to people going your speed in IRL. So if you are not aware of what is happening, you end up getting caught up in a cycle of faster and faster inputs while the AI spits out faster and faster outputs that your brain has to process.... eventually your brain gets fried! 🤯 Stay aware and guard your mind.

@flash - Yuval has been listed on WEF's page as an Agenda Contributor and likely not paid for speaking at conferences which occurred in 2018 and 2020. While WEF cites his work, there is no evidence that he creates content for them. I discovered Vipassana Meditation from his book 21 Lessons.... and I am very grateful to him for this, thus the reason I feel the need to comment. The mob characterizations of him are unfair and cut out clips of hours long interviews to villianize him. If people listened to the entire interviews or read the entire book or practice Vipassana, they would understand that he isn't a wef puppet but rather someone the wef cites to give themselves legitimacy.

Your last statement hits the nail on the head. From personal experience, it was only after initially meditating for the benefits of reducing stress/increasing focus followed by subsequently long periods of intensive meditation (20-30 days continuous for 8-10 hours per day) that led to the understanding there are indeed more fundamental truths to be revealed! It's a gradual and personal process vs an a-ha moment.

It was life changing for me and i continue to take courses and practice on my own. It is an intensive course but well worth it if you put the effort in. A lot of pregnant women who practice actually take a course when they are pregnant since it's beneficial for mother/baby. Agree that a vipassana course would probably help. Recommend a 10 day course at one of the dhamma.org centers. I've sat many courses and am now reading more books about the Buddha's teachings. It's easier for me to understand now since I can relate my own direct experience from the practice to what I read.
