Good idea! There is no public API quite yet, but all generates images are saved to a publicly available CDN on a static URL. It should be pretty easy for me to add an API endpoint for people to fetch these easily.
It would be another thing to add API to generate though that will take some consideration.

It is nuanced! Certain models work better in different “harnesses” and also the workflows / interface are different between them. Goose can be effective in many agentic workflows outside of coding where with opencode obviously the main value is in AI coding

Opencode is just an incredible extensible coding agent with solid minimal tools and a great interface. An easy choice for daily driver
For me goose is more surgical - I use recipes for specific and repeated workflows and lead
/worker mode to separate the thinking capabilities out from the tool calling for my model usage
