He's ranting the entire time, completely detached from reality, shadowboxing with arguments that very few people make (if anyone at all), while positioning himself as the savior protecting everyone from this phantom threat... (calling himself the anti-spam side, as if "the other side" likes spam). He keeps saying "I don't understand why" which identifies the core issue (pun intended): he can't steelman the technical part, he just enjoys complaining and the attention. There were objectionable decisions on both "sides", but we need better critics than this...

I started Bitcoin Core development a bit more than a year ago - today I had my 100ᵗʰ commit merged \:D/. <It ain't much, but it's honest work>, and it's one of the most important projects one can work on.
If you're enthusiastic about Bitcoin and want to help (and have a reasonably thick skin), there's a lot of code review and testing work that is greatly needed!

Modifying it is risky, but there's no reason to believe that not touching it is less risky - the world is changing, we can't just cross our fingers and hope that Bitcoin won't be affected.

Cans are fine for experimentation, but they rust, I recommend aluminium or thin stainless steel for durable storage.
