Also get an enclosed water bottle in which to put the contents of said slurpee.
Unless you enjoy slurpee all over your front or legs. Those cup tops are not secure.
An insulated container is better, and works for hot beverages.

One of the things that makes DDG useful is that, when it fails, I can still navigate to Gaggle with !g or to Bing with !b. If it didn't have these features, I wouldn't set it as my main search engine.

Studies have shown that if the people who didn't vote had voted ... the results would have been the same. The implication is that the non-voters concur with the voters' choice, indicating about 50% of adults prefer these policies.
It doesn't have to be a landslide. The fact that 50% of the population think religion and authoritarianism are good, is really sad.

Lots of people want to believe that god is on their side.
And apparently lots of people want a dictatorial, daddy-like authoritarian in office, it keep them safe, and to control "those" people.
Based on recent elections, this about 50% of the population.
Maybe xenophobia and superstition are built into our genes.

Does anyone actually know how Dutch business men would have interpreted Leviticus? I mean, did Calvin say something about tattoos ? Certainly those men would have enjoyed a pork dinner, which is prohibited in Leviticus. Possibly having a discreet tattoo would be a reflection of your freedom in Christ.
To me that doesn't look very much like a comet. It might be a sword, or a key, or even a nail -- given it's location, possibly identifying with the nail prints of Christ.

That looks great!
I have and have had an assortment of solar cookers that I've purchased and built.
I don't try so hard these days, but I used to cook with them several times a week.
The vacuum cookers seemed like a interesting concept, but I worried about the fragility. Even steel vacuum bottles will buckle if they get bumped.

I have a small tool that I use on many TW files that allow me to adjust the tiddler size.
Both 12px and 16px are too small for some of us. Especially on phones.
The problem on Android is that zooming in moves the text off the screen.
I didn't know I could just use a multiplier for the line height. That alone would solve some problems.

I use Anki every day, but it really is just a spaced repetition system.
What would be great is if you could give it a card template with say 6 different question types, and as you got better at the earlier cards it would progress to the more difficult form. But unfortunately, there is no linkage between card types in a set other than if you see one type you won't see it's sibling on the same day (with the right settings).

Not really. The way it progressively quizzes you, starting from a simple word bank with hints and ending at you having to type the entire thing without any help ... I haven't seen that anywhere else. And the way it forgives small typos and lets you off with a reprimand for accents ... also only on Duo. But maybe some expensive (Pimsleur?) apps can do it.

People seem to have a double-standard about Duo.
People will happily buy a car or pair of shoes made with 70% automation, which cost the good-paying jobs of tens of thousands of workers, but worry about the loss of contract workers (usually part-time with no insurance).
In any event, I don't think you'll find a reasonably priced app that is as good at quizzing/review as Duo.
You can keep your streak alive at the free tier.

Technology advanced quickly? No, if anything it slowed down.
We landed on the moon in 1969. We all thought we would have a moon base by 1982.
There was a good 10 year period in which the only home computer you could get was a Heathkit.
The laser disc was invented in 1963, but it didn't show up in stores until the late 80s.
Most people were still listening to portable music on magnetic tape
--- invented in 1928 !
Portable phones were the size of shoe boxes.

FF is kept on life support by Google. FF hides it's income behind the "Mozilla Foundation", but based on industry reports, receives something like 400 million from G. Which is why when you install FF you get the G. search engine by default.
FF no longer promises to "never sell your data."
With market share dropping to around 2%, companies and governments have less reason to be FF-compliant.

Oh, it inserts backlinks somewhere into your text automatically? Doesn't that mangle your text somewhat?
On #Tiddlywiki, every note has an info tab where you can see all the backlinks to the note.
One user has built a kit that uses backlinks to create a Roam-like note-taking experiencing. Some days I like this approach, some days I don't.
Not trying to over-promote TW. I like that Joplin has an official app and web clipper, and E2E encryption syncing.

Apparently. Tags don't seem to be a strong point in Joplin in general. Basically they're just glorified key words.
Few apps do tags as well as #tiddlywiki (TW).
In TW every tag is proudly displayed at the top of each note, and clicking on a tag shows you everything else that is tagged with that tag. And on the desktop you can rearrange the order of tagged items just by dragging and dropping within the list of tagged items.
