Gripenberg near Växjö is also one where most people don't notice anything.
I saw some impressive ones in Lithuania!
I have also been at Mecklenburg (Burg). Not very impressive nowadays.

Paywall, men jag tittade på https://lazerah.com/faq/ och sajten verkar mest skrivet för investerare.
Jag tittade även på review-artikeln som publicerades i Physica Scripta år 2019. Artikeln har nästan bara citerats av Holmlid. Men det finns en comment av Klavs Hansen och Jos Engelen: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1402-4896/ad05c7
"The paper of Holmlid and Zeiner-Gundersen makes claims that would be truly revolutionary if they were true. We have shown that they violate some fundamental and very well established laws in a rather direct manner. We believe we share this scepticism with most of the scientific community. The response to the theories of Holmlid is perhaps most clearly reflected in the reference list of their article. Out of 114 references, 36 are not coauthored by Holmlid. And of these 36, none address the claims made by him and his co-authors. This is so much more remarkable because the claims, if correct, would revolutionize quantum science, add at least two new forms of hydrogen, of which one is supposedly the ground state of the element, discover an extremely dense form of matter, discover processes that violate baryon number conservation, in addition to solving humanity’s need for energy practically in perpetuity."

The BBC World Service should be free around the world, I believe. I listen to the live stream via their app, without commercials. When I choose a specific program, there will be advertisements based on my IP address (in Dutch when I am in the Netherlands etc.)

They are afraid for their property value, they are afraid of a population might need a higher level of taxation. Conservatives would build, but only villas that would not be affordable for ordinary workers.
Few local politicians want to invest in social housing. They prefer that the poor live in neighbouring municipalities.

That is just one VLCC (very large crude carrier) per day. But Iran used to export much more, dozens of tankers per day.

It would not bother me if students took the course out of genuine interest, in fact I would be delighted. But in our department we had a summer course in astronomy that many of those students had chosen because that would entitle them to an allowance.

Also, the agency assumes (quite reasonably) that authors get paid for publications in scientific journals. I had to convince them that that was not the case. They cautioned me against publishing anything more as it might jeopardize my unemployment allowance.

I read that serfdom had been legally abolished in Korea in 1894, when this guy was 5 years old.
