I would not say it’s an either-or. It’s probably both. I would even say that for ancap it is very important that the transformation also comes from individuals. I think it has strong potential to transform the individual for multiple reasons: economically and through incentives, yes; but a major part is that this position is (as far as I know) the only one that is logically consistent. It is not even possible to argue against the non-aggression principle (argumentation ethics). Or more simply: how can you argue that you are allowed to aggress against someone, but no one is allowed to aggress against you?
I think it is intellectually superior to any other idea I know. So if humans become (intellectually) enlightened, a transformation toward ancap seems likely to me. It’s always starts by individuals transforming

Mir sind noch zwei Gedanken gekommen, wo ich deine/eure Meinung interessant fände:
1) Fungibilität ist eher eine gesellschaftliche als eine technische Eigenschaft. Natürlich kann man bei Monero nicht zwischen unterschiedlichen UTXOs unterscheiden (technisch), aber in diesem Sinne wäre doch jede Monero-Transaktion wie eine „tainted”-Bitcoin-Transaktion, da sie gesellschaftlich gleichzusetzen ist mit „tainted”-BTC?!
2) Nehmen wir an, Monero ist technisch in allem gegenüber Bitcoin überlegen. Wichtig für ein Geld ist ja trotzdem die Verkäuflichkeit(ja im darknet wird überwiegend XMR genutzt) Wie soll die Mehrheit von Monero überzeugt werden bzw. es nutzen? Normalos haben schon mit Bitcoin zu kämpfen und verstehen das nicht. Monero ist vermutlich noch schwerer zu verstehen und erhält viel geringere Aufmerksamkeit. Es scheint sinnvoll, Monero im „Second Ralm“ zu nutzen, aber ist das letztendliche Ziel nicht eine globale Adoption und „to defund the state“? :)
Ich bin vermutlich schon tief im rabbit hole, aber Monero hab ich erst seit kurzem auf dem Schirm.

Every time I think about NAP and argumentation ethics, I think about the the Impossibility of arguing for Initiatory Violence. Maybe that’s trivial but I have never read it in a clear and simple term. Maybe you finde the following valuable:
The Impossibility of Arguing for Initiatory Violence
To argue for something means to justify it as generally acceptable. This implies that I would have to accept it even if I myself were affected by it.
Initiatory violence, however, is by definition an action taken without or against the consent of the affected party. It excludes consent.
Anyone who claims to support initiatory violence would therefore have to accept being subjected to it themselves. Yet this is impossible:
Either the affected party consents, in which case it is not violence.
Or they do not consent, in which case, by definition, one cannot support it.
It follows that initiatory violence can be carried out, but it cannot be consistently endorsed or defended through argument. Any attempt to do so collapses conceptually.
