Not the prettiest, but they're more than edible. Actually pretty good. Soft. I'll keep working on them. I know my 2 mistakes (faster knead on the machine is needed, less oil in the bowl that I used... actually 3 mistakes - third was warmer proof environment.) I journaled it all, so hopefully I don't repeat the mistakes. They're glutenous, so I only ate 1, but husband & 2 teens were circling them. Here's a photo of the rolls, cooling on the rack. I have a free day tomorrow. The boys are off doing their thing until the afternoon and I have nothing scheduled. This is making me have feelings. I'd LOVE a day to do nothing. But I also feel like I should be doing SOMETHING.
The closest kitchen store that sells the mixer I want is a little over an hour away. Do I go on a self-adventure to Northampton, Mass? Maybe have fun, shop a bit, then come home in time for the boys?

This is viral pink eye, which makes sense because I've been sick as hell with a virus since last Thursday (although, I'm improving a lot.) The drops have taken the edge off the worst of it but I'm still noticeably symptomatic. I'm staying home from work again.
I remember in the late 90s I worked in a office. A coworker said she had a "cold in her eye." I had no clue what that meant until we all (yes, all 22 or 23 of us) got her pink eye. I don't want to spread it like she did.
