As a creator, art is what I make as a transmutation of energy that flows through me, particularly with an intention toward building beauty in the world.
As a consumer, art is what reflects beauty back to me.

Can AI do art is a question I have been pondering lately. I keep coming back to this point: If we're producing for human pleasure, human pleasure will continue to be the judge of value. Machines can be used to replicate and produce quality at scale, but I'm unconvinced they will be able to dictate what is pleasurable to a human.
Human taste is notorious for seeking out novelty, so it's difficult to standardize over time. Maybe there will be/already has been a fork of humanity: those who exist as an energy source to feed the AI, and those who continue to dig deeper into what it means to be a human being exploring the wonders of the multiverse in a rapidly decaying meatsuit.
I imagine the former will be satisfied by AI engineered wine. It's for the latter that I roast coffee.

I find it very useful to research and plan specific projects on my homestead where I know the outcome I want. Instead of reading 5 books, reading hours of forum posts, or watching 12 YouTube videos, I can quickly hone in on a plan, then supplement with extra resources where the ai hallucinates. Also is helpful in troubleshooting and repair.

I've experienced lending that facilitated economic activity. I've also experienced lending that was simply a way to extract and control. I grew up in the breadbasket of the US, where many farmers take on perpetual debt to survive, with no foreseeable path to exit. Value flows out of the community and never returns. Slavery reborn.
A village where lender and borrower are both integrated into a shared larger system is a very different dynamic. This brings me back to the necessity of building back villages.

I think about this from time to time. If the producers maintain sovereignty, they maintain leverage. Many farmers nowadays have given sovereignty to the nonproducers by taking on debt. I do believe this is changing, though.

I started roasting in a popcorn popper. Good times. They do roast pretty quickly. For a medium roast, you could aim to stop the roast when you hear first crack (tiny lil audible pops) start to wind down.
You can drink whenever, but I do find I enjoy it more after letting it rest a few days. There's no wrong way, though. If you enjoy it, you're doing it right!

Some like it oily, but I prefer to stop before the oil comes out, somewhere between first and second crack. Give it a taste, tho. Fresh roasted bean is hard to beat, even if it's not perfect.
