Just had to add some prefix filters to our routing setup to support the ADSL/VDSL/Dial-up network at #EMFcamp
Just in case wifi, ethernet, DECT, 2G are too advanced for you there is *dial-up* in this field..

#IPv6 usage in the UK now over 50% according to Google. Still someway behind Germany (75%) and France (84%) but to out of context quote Jon Bon Jovi, "woah oh, we're half way there'.

just as a pub should have a webpage. The page page holds the useful information (opening times, menu) and embeds the fediverse feed in news. That way timely information flows through the fediverse - changes to times / menus / offers / special nights and so on. You can be informative and cross promote other organisations (runners / knitters / board gamers etc.) that use your pub - after all a pub is a social venture in it's own right!

as I said, I think your model is too simple. The router had a route from BGP had a valid next hop that was pingable from the router. I didn't check the source address used by the router - it's quite possible that the behaviour is source address specific (e.g. the address on the exchange works) amongst many other explanations I haven't thought of.

I think your model of what is going on may be a lot too simple. It appears the black hole is beyond the exchanges and therefore not detectable by BGP as the next hop is valid and responding.

Our best guess is a misconfiguration within Gigaclear at their LONAP v6 routerserver peering. We've helped other large eyeball ISPs track similar things before over exchange route servers.

a route server has that behaviour as the control plane route doesn’t match the data plane. However I can confirm the data path works.
