i don't have them take paper notes, instead they use Obsidian for notes, but you could do these things on paper too
The first thing is a Coding Vocab note. Every week I ask the class what new words they have come across and we all add it to the coding vocab.
Then from that list I ask them what they want to take notes on and they vote. I guide them a little bit and take liberties. Ex: they vote to take notes on "else". Then we would write notes on conditionals.

in California at least, brick buildings are not allowed to be built because of earthquakes. Any brick buildings you see are either really old or more likely, it's just a brick facade

I'm a software engineer and still don't quite understand what this means. Can someone explain what's happening from a normal user perspective? What are the implications of suspend vs hibernate vs suspend then hibernate?
I'm assuming this should result in battery life improvement?
