yeah that was my initial reaction HOWEVER the fact that it's being built by the astro team made me at least want to keep an eye on it and see how it goes. i will not be using it myself but I'd love to see a wp alternative what with matt mullenweg going bananas and gutenburg/blocks being a load of bollocks

quick thoughts on - the "wordpress-successor" #emdash released yesterday by cloudflare ( https://blog.cloudflare.com/emdash-wordpress/ ):
• As a wordpress/astro designer/dev this is of great interest
• Looks like loads of proprietary cloudflare (US big-tech company 🙄) requirements • Although it does say node.js and sqlite support (great!)
• Interesting x402.org integration (finally micropayments!)
• The backend feels great and snappy, and I'd love to build my wp themes in astro… (1/2)
