When I get those in, I could do pick up swaps pretty quickly. That being said I’m not under the illusion. I can do a much better job than Seymour Duncan as they have a half century of engineering prowess. I think the value in getting a hand wound boutique guitar pick up is no two pickups sound the same. This is because the inconsistencies that come about from hand winding versus machine winding. I build my own pickups, they are roughly equivalent to Seymour Duncan ‘59 in the neck and JB in the bridge. IMO what separates a high end instrument from a mid tier guitar built over seas is materials and time spent on the fretwork and setup. I’m keeping this one for myself as I don’t yet have a nice lightweight stage guitar, and there are a few minor npub1z3h9srduldz9palglystgdj8cl9vnkyvkgnfzv6cs83fxq47nsuqxd4a5y jlhoffmanguitars This is a prototype electric-acoustic hybrid, geared more for performance where comfort matters a little more than studio quality sound. I wanted to create a model that sounded better unplugged than most of the others available on the market, I have yet to test it against others in it’s class, but it does sound better than my Martin backpacker , so that’s a win. Plugged in I still have work to do, and may design my own circuit board.
