Last Notes npub1z3thwmwasmp787zvk2aaq5qdjtjdkl637p52nph4flv668973c8qaz2du7 protest.net I’m experiencing an issue where Claude Code CLI loses its MCP configuration after upgrades (which happen frequently). I have similar problems with Goose and Cursor (though I rarely use Cursor anymore). MCPs feel incredibly powerful yet frustratingly fragile across these tools. Has anyone found ways to make MCP setups more stable and easier to configure/maintain across different AI coding assistants? npub1z3thwmwasmp787zvk2aaq5qdjtjdkl637p52nph4flv668973c8qaz2du7 protest.net What do you think? Are the failures of the current model of capitalism opening up more people to the idea of socialism or even communism? Personally I think all of those labels, and fascism too, aren’t particularly useful in talking about the society we have or what we want, but it’s interesting to see how they’re shifting. #note19zr…mqhg npub1z3thwmwasmp787zvk2aaq5qdjtjdkl637p52nph4flv668973c8qaz2du7 protest.net I’ve got 21 nostr apps currently installed on my iPhone. npub1z3thwmwasmp787zvk2aaq5qdjtjdkl637p52nph4flv668973c8qaz2du7 protest.net We can’t let the government impose KYC for all internet services they way they want for “child safety” #note14zk…t9sa npub1z3thwmwasmp787zvk2aaq5qdjtjdkl637p52nph4flv668973c8qaz2du7 protest.net The internet archive is in danger of being killed by the copyright industry. #note1a9n…aucn npub1z3thwmwasmp787zvk2aaq5qdjtjdkl637p52nph4flv668973c8qaz2du7 protest.net I think it depends on where you live, in most states, voting third party is a good protest vote. In swing states the US election system punishes honest voting and it’s wiser to be strategic. The US and every first past the post democracy needs to change to proportional representation if they are serious about being a representative democracy. npub1z3thwmwasmp787zvk2aaq5qdjtjdkl637p52nph4flv668973c8qaz2du7 protest.net Chappell is right that both sides of American electoral politics are fucked. And there are good tactical reasons to vote for Kamala Harris. But voting isn’t the only tool we have to change things. We can do a thousand things, we can organize and build power that forces change. The election is what happens at the end after we’ve done the work and changed politics. https://m.primal.net/LCOr.mov npub1z3thwmwasmp787zvk2aaq5qdjtjdkl637p52nph4flv668973c8qaz2du7 protest.net Wait, Margaret Killjoy has a substack?!? Her A Country of Ghosts was a really interesting story about what a post-revolutionary anarchist society looks like. Reminded me of The Dispossessed. They call this company the "Potentially Responsible Party." Quoting Project 2025: To execute more efficient and effective cleanups, the following changes are needed in the Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI): Allow PRPs (“Potentially Responsible Parties”) to perform the statutorily required five-year reviews of Superfund cleanups to free OLEM (Office of Land and Emergency Management) resources. Project 2025, page 431 Superfund sites are places like factories, landfills, and mines where hazardous waste has been mishandled. The cleanup process involves figuring out how bad the contamination is, planning how to fix it, and then doing the actual cleanup to make the area safe for people and the environment again. You might think that the person who was responsible for contaminating the site might not be the best judge for whether or not it’s safe for people again. https://images.ctfassets.net/ud0fpafebkep/6XBIVBXx9id6aXikQddbBn/ff3f6be3dd9e453dbae49151c6b0d47d/p2025-bicycle.jpg npub1z3thwmwasmp787zvk2aaq5qdjtjdkl637p52nph4flv668973c8qaz2du7 protest.net Palestinian activists @npub1lq9…pa2e has had their Instagram account shadowbanned for publishing political content against the genocide in Gaza. The idea is to relaunch it using Nostr. With that we should help people use Nostr to organize social movements and social change. Initially we're thinking of using ditto and flockstr.
