I see more and more Bitcoiners add a monero payment target. Which is awesome and it is okay to proclaim or sell your newly added payment target with "bitcoin is my choice of money" or "zap me all your moneros".
But, remember it is real people with real "money" behind every zap. Some people in the community (no BS) have their whole life wrapped up in monero from salaries to expenses like cars, house, groceries, utility bills, restaurant, shopping, phone etc.
So, at the end of the day and in the long term. This is not just "digital cash" falling into your lap from the skies. These are anonymous donations given with no strings attached, no obligations or credits because someone out there thinks you really deserves it (not just some gimmick/shitcoin that couldn't be used elsewhere).
And maybe deep down (at least for some bros) an understanding that if we are gone live outside the tax system, we have a duty to be generous, responsible and help out where we can.

One would pretty fast get the impression that blocking of content and users are pretty random and used heavy handed on content that is neither spam nor illegal, when using Primal.
So, maybe all these resources should just be direct a bit more against the above categories and less towards narrative or opinions.

For the last 5 years (at least) one would have been better off storing wealth in Monero.
Of cause it is possible that BTC suddenly 10x to 16T in market cap over the next 10 years 😏. But, let's be realistic here, BTC no longer has any practical use case (it is not fungible, it can be frozen, transaction cost is off the chart), storing BTC is like having a sign on your front door stating your balance to the whole world.
People are of cause free to do with their savings as they like. But, some basic critical questions about real value and use case (not ETF/stock pump) should be part of the equation.

Monero has no marketing budgets, no company, governments, we have no well paid influencers or paid advertising.
We just happens to have the best alternative to cash and that's enough. We have genuine donations and people who can't stop tipping, buying and stashing monero. We have a minimum of speculators, shorters and day traders so the trend will continue steadily and they can do nothing about it...

As things has turned out, the resource allocation (CPU) between honest vs malicious actors seems to be a loosing battle. I am becoming more open to the concept around authority (monero holders) rather than mining power/hardware strength. In particular with hardware like antminer X9 and the available CPU for rent etc. We somehow have to adopt the idea that Proof of Stake, in the end (today) seems way more resilient against attacks than Proof of Work, at least in the case of monero.
I don't consider the Qubic attack more than a Proof of Concept, where a lot of the hash power came by deceiving miners. A relatively inexpensive attack.
There don't have to be a great divide in the community over this issue when the day comes. Proof of Work was the 'best' and most decentralized option at a time. But, as the threat landscape changes we have to adapt, specially if it is more decentralized (which is hard to prove) and more secure against attacks.

It means products that can not be automatically liquidated into FIAT/debt/nonexistence when the bubble bursts. Even with a PO Box or fake name and address. You still have an obscure company that will not allow anonymous payments for their products. So, there is a long row of companies from payment processor, VISA/Master, your bank, your government and all their employees who have this information.
Trezor and the way they operates is a part of the problem. They could allow (they know they could double their sales by doing so) cash or monero payments. Most likely - by all sane business logic - their cash flow is mainly coming from other sources than product (hardware wallets) sale.

A huge chunk of their money is bound in expensive infrastructure like foreign oil refineries, media control and military (on the premise of geographic control and dominance).
Either a total collapse (not like the little disturbance in 2008 financial crisis) will happen. But, more likely the money printing will accelerate into so-called hyperinflation (no, not the yearly 20% increase in prices that we are currently experiencing), we are talking about inflation that could erode your pension to just be worth a bag of toilet papers within a decade.
They can only escalate the wars, they have no other options (from a bankers perspective). Either they win and get back their foreign assets or they lose and half of the western population have to die off and the remaining part will temporarily feel twice as wealthy for a short period. Non, of the above is a long-term solutions, but banking has never operated on long-term solutions.

Compared the other crypto, the trading volume of monero is microscopic. Basically, if Kraken had to go out and put larger orders out on the market moneros market value would explode immediately. The effects would be one of the following:
Kraken has real monero on there balance sheet (no they don't anymore), they would be home safe no matter the price.
or
They have sold their traders, let's say 0.5B USD in monero on the paper, the have basically been short selling. Monero don't shows sign of a dump and this starts to get very risky. If monero pumps ex. to 1000$ Kraken will be in -1.5b USD. Even if the user swapped to BTC and wanted their money out, they would still be insolvent by -1.5b. (I honestly think it is much worse, they have likely sold all their Cryptos in a fractional reserve manner).

Kraken US will begin applying monthly transaction limits to Monero on August 15. Individual withdrawal limits are set to $1,500 and deposit limits are $3500..
If my bank told me this, about my savings. I would start to get very worried. Usually there would be other assets to leverage, to camouflage that a single asset were fictive and you could hide your scam by buying up xmr in the market, when someone demanded withdrawal and no limits would be necessary. If xmr alone has the potential of pulling the rug under Kraken, they may have stretched it to the limit on all parameters.

True, the best and most optimal. Would be local cash as legal tender. Like the Aruba Florin ex. or gold, silver.
But, when we see national currencies merge into the EUR or USD and talks of CBDC. We need a digital alternative, that can combat these plans and this is not a task that can be carried out by a local community.

I don't want to idealize power in any form. But, I would rather have local family run rule, than state, national or global run rule. I would rather live under rule based on Christian ethics and moral, than the moral of the Talmud.
Total anarchy would be the ideal. But, looking towards some of the places that comes close, like Somalia, there would be no safety or infrastructure, like roads etc.

Yes, true.. The money=power issue has always been an issue, even the most liberal economists have recognized money and power tends to accumulate in the hands of the few. Anti-monopoly laws, anti-cartel laws, forced redistribution, patents, inflation, taxation etc. has been their answers.
But, often in the context of oilfields in the Amazonas ex. the natives could probably have made resistance, but bribery and corruption on a national level put these natives in a situation where their own government is the real hindering.
Even the most honorable cultures like the Japanese, you still find corruption in the top and blind law obedience in the bottom.
I honestly think clan run (mafia) loosely connected families, with some sense of (Christian) honor is the best we can hope for in the west. Though, most of Africa is probably closer to real Anarchy.

Laugh aside. I think that one will find that the ONLY way to ever take over another country for a longer duration, is by providing a better society and you will still not be able to have anything else than the jurisdiction.
In small context, visit Napoli or Sardinia they still even have their own languages and don't identify as Italian first.
Take all the invasion wars by the west for the last 100 years. Even poor Afghanistan, with the full force of all of NATO nothing ever changed and we had to leave with the tail beneath the legs.
It's a media created illusion that wars can win nations, with the sole purpose of justifying wars. You can temporarily suppress a people by war, but you will never win them over and that's a very expensive endeavor that only lasts for so long.

I had the feeling, based on all the facts, logic and common sense I could gather in.
2011 When Steve Jobs died and Apple had a P/E value of 7.
2013 When Tesla was listed on the exchange.
2020 When Nvidia attempted to buy ARM and Neural Networks started to show promising signs.
2025 Arm listing, Gold and Silver.
Today more than ever I have the same feeling with Monero. I know, people have said it over and over for years. One thing is FCMP++, Bulletproof*, post quantum efforts which are really great news and improvements. But, what I think can really break the barrier for monero and send monero up in the top 6 above XRP in the short term 0.5-2 years (10X), is:
- A greater reach than ever before, alone here on Nostr. But, also more mention in general. Even though it's small, the right people have a better chance of hearing about monero.
- Debanked influencers, some mention Monero, others just show how easily you could get debanked.
- The hack of Thorchain the day after their announcement of listing XMR, might show us that more sketchy stuff is going on in the CEX's to manipulate the price than we could ever have imagined. Even in the case of Serai or Thorchain dragging things out, monero will eventually have it's right price set in the DEX's.
- EU and US unhinged confiscation of reserves, property and crypto of foreign nationals and nations.

Everytime you see someone retract from their promise to add monero. You know they act on orders from the Epstein banking cartel, unless they have a very detailed explanation of why it is not technically doable or feasible.

Anyone aware of when Thorchain plans to list XMR or Serai plans to launch?
When an exchange is hacked and taken down for a whole month, 24 hours after they announce their plans to list xmr. You get the feeling that larger forces are at play here. The last I heard were that they will put specific additional fees on xmr swaps?!

Sometimes you get baffled by the lack of foresight, imagination, product knowledge and creative thinking, the CEO's of some of the biggest companies are in possession of. Most of the time they sound like 3 year old LLM models.
Big IT company: "You are allowed to use AI now, ask your manage for access to Chat GBT if you need it. We want to be on the forefront of the AI development!"
We are going to see a hugh wave companies die a sudden death the next couple of years.

If it weren't for BTC, all the attention it has attracted from agents, hedgefunds, media, banks, governments. All the attack vectors that has been deployed to derail the original intent of BTC, monero wouldn't have been able develop and strengthen behind the scenes hidden from all the FIAT money, influence and attention.
The direct attacks will continue, isolation from the CEX/fiat system, media bans and deplatforming, majority attacks will be attempted again, FUD from 1000's of bot accounts, price repression. But, this is actually what strengthens xmr. It limits the indirect influence of the same actors who took over and paid for the devs in BTC.
Whatever lesson that can be learned and observed from the beatings BTC has taken (ignoring the price chart), has to be remembered and understood. At some point all cannons will be directed at monero.

If you are about to have children, learn them the difference between Real and Fake. Till your child reaches 5 years of age and the pressure from their peers starts to kick in.
- Never say "Because I say so", that will make them blindly obedient to authority without questioning or rational argumentation.
- Learn them that the treatment of symptoms will never end well. Seek the root causes of any problem and they will be able to fix or understand almost anything.
- Don't introduce them to dystopian Disney movies, Hollywood movies (Where both parents are killed and the child is abused). Feed them with entertainment with real life problems and dilemmas and usable knowledge.
- Don't feed them with processed food and beverage. Introduce them to real unprocessed food. Demand that they always taste it before the say they don't like it. Gradually they'll appreciate it more and more, to the point where food with a Maggi cube tastes fake to them.
- Learn them the difference between real and fake; laminated plastic that looks like wood or steel is fake, average people who portrays as rich buying beyond their means are actually poor (also on a spiritual level) etc.
The school, media and society will do anything to unlearn them each of these skills again. But, they will stick with them, for their benefit and success for the rest of their life.
