Can totally second this.
I like to say "you can't pour from an empty cup" you have to have the capacity and energy you would need to expend in helping others before you can help others and if you don't take the time to fill your own cup, so to speak, it'll keep you from being able to help others.
My Dadfops likes to say "put your oxygen mask on first before assisting others", same kind of vibe, but make sure you're in a good mental headspace before you help others....also quite important.

Found some of that Oreo flavored Coke at the 7-11 by my apartment.
It tastes...vague.
Like I can KINDA get a taste of the chocolate cookie part.
Then it's Coke.
Then there's a faint aftertaste (maybe?) of the Oreo cream filling.
But yeah...not enough for me to go "Yeah, Oreos Coke, definitely."

Can second Silver Dollar City. Born and raised in nearby Springfield, MO, Silver Dollar City was just a 45 minute drive from where I grew up. They have excellent roller coasters and the old-timey late 1800's hillbilly theme makes it feel very much like you're in the Ozarks of the past which is very...immersive. Plus, the snacks there are pretty dang good too.
Ride Wildfire, it's my favorite. :D

So, first day at the new job is in the books. X3
I thought it was an 8 hour shift but that'll come next week after I'm trained up. XD So it was a 9a-2p.
Lots of onboarding/paperwork/tour of the place and stuff.
But from what I can gather from the actual job of digitizing and archiving news tapes, I think I can get this down pretty quick.
