Nah at some point chips can't get smaller. Eectrons are of a certain size. At some point the only way to get more compute is bigger dies. I think 1nm is pretty close to the limit.

Running public infra reliably is harder from home. I know the struggle. You should be able to run a relay without too much fuss. The blossom server is a bigger ask but not really if you only have a handful of users or just yourself.

Give it up man. Luke lost his coins and shortly after Ocean Mining started up and I was critical about it being under the guise of "decentralizing mining". I said it could be a potential way for him to spin his narrative in a last ditch attempt to fork the chain and dump on his followers to make back any Bitcoin he potentially could from having lost it all.
Hindsight seems to me that this is 100% a plausible scenario. Ever since then it's been nothing but doubling down and sparking a narrative around one side being more true to Bitcoin than the other. An attempt to grow a large community on complete falsehoods. People that aren't "technical" but just want to do the "right" thing. Led to believe something as small as changing a default mempool policy is a literal attack in the network. Pot calling the kettle black. In every circumstance.

Because it won't be worth the time it takes to send my Bitcoin back and fourth to separate funds cleanly. I mean I don't think the fork coin will be worth anything anyways. Might as well keep it. Unless it has a price of like 10k per coin minimum. And if it does get that price through some crazy circumstance, I would consider selling half of it then and keeping half as a little keepsake reminder for myself.

Sorry for confusion if you tried but there's no bot so it can only do games between two nostriches. You'll only find a game (select gen6 randoms in drop-down) if more than 1 person is looking for a game. Otherwise you can look up a player by npub and challenge them that way. Only games found through matching count as ranked. I'll look into setting up a bot though so you can hop on and play whenever.

I have made a couple yes but only a couple and they're much older when I was playing with it. Indexing sats is a fun idea. But ultimately it turns sats into serialized numbers which is fun and delusional. You can't build anything serious on a shared delusion and the protocol is busted AF imo. Hence the issue. I'm a developer. You think I'm not going to play around with things to understand them?

Mining isn't centralized now either. And libre relay is not malicious just because it takes off core guardrails... And op return is a mempool policy and has nothing to do with the op return limit of my own transaction. I can sign and briadcast an op return bigger than that well before core 30.

Bitcoin was designed from Genesis with a spam prevention mechanism. Attempting to block transactions containing information you don't think constitutes a valid use case is an overstep, unnecessary and poses a far greater risk to Bitcoin than any "spam" someone is paying to put on chain.

Remember Mutiny? They couldn't make it work. People don't want to open a wallet and say you gotta deposit $100 first and we're gunna lock $20 of that forever until you exit, it's going to cost a few bucks from chain fees to even set it up.
Lightning has protocol level contraints that are huge roadblocks to a normal person using lightning custodially. That's all. That doesn't mean I think lightning is bad or useless. It's just not the instant fast payment rail for the every day man. That's all.

I didn't say anything about hosting a routing node either...
It still takes a few open channels, at least $1000 in liquidity, an always on reliable PC, to have even a semi reliable node for sending and receiving payments...
That's way too much effort for someone to just be able to send smaller Bitcoin payments instantly. So they use custodial. That to me is not the adoption I want to see. That to me is the same kind of adoption the ETFs drive.

Yea there's a separate list for dm relays. You can use my grain client to set them actually 😊. Login to wheat.oslim.dev and go to settings. There's a section for DM relays you can put the relays you want to receive dms to there.
It's nostr so setting it there should create the list for all clients that use it.

This compounds the issue, it doesn't make it better. Separately, I'm a fan of graduated wallets. Ecash, custodial lightning, liquid, on chain...
I'm not saying it can't be a stepping stone, but for most people it's good enough and to me that's not good enough. The whole thing is pointless if people aren't actually holding Bitcoin themselves. In that case, we've just reinvented the old system.

Then you will have to ask any new client to make it optional. You don't have a choice. You are using a key on nostr that is also a Bitcoin key. You can advocate to remove it from the profile in "this" client but as soon as another comes up, you will have to do the same there. It's not a solvable problem. It's how the protocol works.

@nprofile…uwsc I replied to your dm in 0x chat but I don't know if you'll get it as amethyst says you still have no dm list set up (you can use amethyst to set them) without one, clients don't know where to send your dms and if I dm you and the dm lands on a relay you never read from you'll never see it.
Anyways, after logged in, just navigate to /saves to start a new adventure. You can also click the profile in the top right for a drop-down and click saves to go there.
