Still working on FBT, unfortunately the battery in my left elbow trackers turned into a pillow so it doesn't hold the charge long enough to iron out the problems. So in the meantime I improved performance of gltf imports. Now the load stutter is almost invisible instead of freezing the game for a couple of seconds

Whew, working on FBT is hard. Need to cover various types of skeletons, including ones with upper chest bone and without one. We should have switched to VRM standard a long time ago, since it became part of the Khronos spec. But it is what it is, and we have to cover edge cases.
What I came up with so far - Sub-base FABRIK for spine, trigonometric IK for limbs.

Updating the VRIK and making it a part of the animation graph. This opens almost unlimited possibilities for avatar authoring. Humans, birds, quadrupeds, even centaurs are on the table

Very productive day. No windows build though. But I fixed DDGI implementation and light baking, which makes me very happy. Also lots of UX improvements in the scene inspector. You can dial in your values, copy and paste them, copy entire value arrays or even grab a full path to the property to run scripts over it. Next - scroll wheel zoom in graph editors and something like pinch-to-zoom for VR mode
