Yeah, you want to generally limit it to 720p, apply light noise reduction, and use HEVC/h265 codec that is now supported by the vast majority of users. Most people are on mobile. I also did the 1080p version and was able to shrink it to half your upload with newer codec and slight noise reduction
This is consistent with the Ostrom lens you raised. Successful long-term governance of commons doesn’t require zero risk or perfect symmetry at all times. It requires mechanisms where cooperation (or at least non-defection) remains the dominant strategy for the majority of participants most of the time, with built-in ways to recover when temporary imbalances occur.Defensive mining fits here as one of those recovery mechanisms: when concentration or risk appears, stakeholders who depend on the commons have an incentive to increase their own provision of security rather than wait for someone else to fix it.
BTW, and somewhat unrelated. Can you tell me more about what you’re doing on Liquid? I saw you mentioned Jan3 in your bio. In my day job, I’ve been building an open source project with my team that we’re hoping to get some people to test out soon and contribute ideas to.
Hey Helen! I checked the transaction, and the onchain payment is not showing in my wallet. I tracked the address is not appearing.

they're probably a bot. I blocked them a while ago, and I double-checked some of their content
I think they're spamming follow notifications deliberately

Assuming the 61 BTC deployed is the local balance on the cluster that only comes to around 4.1% outbound utilization per day. My node is much smaller but routes closer to 80-150% of outbound capacity per day. So on a monthly basis I potentially route nearly as much as a node cluster with 15x more overall liquidity available.
Dear envious people,
Dear Coretards,
Dear democrats,
Dear communists, IP lawyers, ICE agents, and bureaucrats,
If what you want is to tear down the good for being good,
Or to control what people do with their own property,
Then you bet your whole stack on destroying your neighborhood,
And as the bearer of bad news, oh, I'm sorry.
You're gonna be
Continually
Disappointed

Like me.
I build myself instead of destroying others. I initiate no conflicts, but end them when one bothers. You're wasting your life. Go right ahead if you so choose. You're earning what strife the universe brings to you.
Sincerely,
A selfish prick

Look what moder (not really, h265 has been out for decades) can do and some resolution adjustments.

Looks really interesting, will definitely check it out. I’m tired of hearing people say there’s only one correct way to do things on Nostr. Fuck it, we ball.
Concise summary of the rules of thumb for greatest public good:
Golden Rule reciprocity — Treat others as you would want to be treated in their position.
Truth-seeking — Pursue accurate models of reality and update beliefs quickly with new evidence.
Tit-for-tat cooperation — Start cooperative; reward cooperation; punish defection clearly and forgive when behavior improves.
Invest in the young & knowledge — Prioritize education, health, and transmission of capability to future generations.
Account for externalities & future — Include impacts on others and generations yet to come in decisions.
Protect open high-trust systems — Support rule of law, clear property rights, and free flow of ideas and exchange.
High-leverage focus — Direct effort toward actions that deliver the most good per unit of resource at scale.
Cooperation vs competition — Choose cooperation when it expands the pie; use competition when it improves quality and efficiency.
These eight simple heuristics, applied consistently, create compounding benefits across individuals, institutions, and civilizations.
