Yes, the world is full of billions of people with no Bitcoin and a local fiat currency that doesn't hold its value as well as kindling or toilet paper. For them, USDT looks like an upgrade. Especially, as so many of them are too poor to ride out Bitcoin's volatility.

I don't really care that much, either way, as I mostly use my own clients. It's harder on users who find it a higher hurdle to switch, or who have been promoting Wisp to their friends and now stand there looking silly.
