I’ll share there too. Thanks F
Nice. Not the only road though, anyone can copy this.
That would be a total game changer.
But it seems like at this point the ux would be atrocious
People keep telling me RNG is broken and its all a larp anyway 😏
It's odd that the CC their moved coins to so few addresses. It seems it would have been better to move them to a slew of different ones, for a number of reasons. The downside of this which I just thought about too, is that it makes the "boating accident" excuse a little more difficult, since you'd have to show funds moving to one of the known theft addresses. Weird...
Sorry i meant "real 2fa" ie totp
They do the text thing.
224k, 2004 Honda. She’s a champ though. Engine is still good!
Lol
Is their a signer for that??
Oh of course!
I didn't know amber would take the hex ...
But how would you then use the SAME gpg key to sign commits...?
I know criminals are notoriously stupid, but creating an unrelated pseudonym seems like the very first thing somebody trying to introduce an exploit would do.
"stop telling people RNG is a necessary part of internet security!"

Whoah stuff's weird onchain! 12 blocks in the last 69 minutes, plus what looks to be switching between timestamp versions. Maybe some miners are trying to beat the others to the mandatory height and cause a chainsplit to effectively take their share of the pie?
Ok
I dunno much about the influencer crowd and their incentives
Get rolling, plebs.

But it did because it revealed too much.
Its not irrelevant than people understand the role of RND in their daily lives.
In fact, it will only become more necessary as time goes on.
And you still haven't explained what I have backwards or how I'm wrong and larping.
Just "no your wrong"
Use your big boy words.
He looks slightly out of shape 😂
The tierods were also getting bad though but you’re are right 😔
Fork day is fun!
Feels like sportball day for bitcoiners
My bank still doesn't support 2fa
Thank You for The Endorsement.

If this week wasn't already enough...
Today was supposed to be my first farmers market. I've been preparing for it for the past month, so I was really excited (and admittedly a little anxious) to finally get out there, meet people, and see what happens.
The one thing I didn't account for was just how much weight I was putting in my car: a 10×10 tent, two 30-lb weights, table, cooler, boxes of product, and everything else.
My car is older and already had some worn tie rods. Unfortunately, the extra weight was apparently the final straw. While backing out of the driveway, the front wheel collapsed.
The repair is going to cost about as much as the car is worth, so I'm most likely going to have to salvage it and find another used vehicle.
The real bummer is that I had prepared 24 jars of #hodlbutter along with a bunch of other treats specifically for the market. Now I'm sitting here with everything and no way to get it there.
If you have it in your heart to help out, I'd be incredibly grateful. Even simply sharing this note helps. The Bitcoin community I've found here runs deep, and I'm hopeful this reaches a few fellow plebs who might be willing to lend a hand.
I've updated the shop with what I have available, although I don't yet have all of the chocolates listed. The prices are also discounted, so good ready to stock up now if you want.
You can also zap this note, and I'll reach out directly to figure out what you'd like to order.
Man... what a bummer.
Thank you for reading, sharing, ordering, or simply being here. I really appreciate it ❤️🤞🏼

Right? I like that in the world without a checksum I could do at least this part of things in a way I FULLY comprehend. That's all. So, short of that, would like it if my offline hardware device helped me with that one step of the checksum, instead of what I consider more complicated dice rolls plus sha256 thing. Like you mentioned in article, seems like they should offer it 🤷

He said a lil bit a few days ago, but I know what you mean. He's not posting on twitter much either. I suspect he's been advised to keep quiet by legal or something, not sure, just a pure guess.
Who on nostr are you disappointed with besides though? And what is it you'd like to hear from them? Genuinely curious, as I feel like I've seen negative comments about CC/NVK from most of them.
Wish there was a feature where you could preemptively sign a new NSEC to a new NSEC.
Almost everyone was a noob when using the Nostr the first time.

Like was mentioned in the article above, the checksum makes it not possible to completely generate your seed phrase offline. Just from a grug brain point of view, I'd like it if I were able to do that. Instead, I have to use a computer which opens me up to all the paranoia of things I don't understand as well. So, what would be nice, since we're not gonna change the bip and lose the checksum, is if a device helped me calculate the viable 24th word after I input the first 23 (there should only be 8 options). That's all.
As for what set up I will ultimately change to, I'm still not sure, and I wouldn't post about the details anyway.
I was trying to remember too....
what was the .ninja one?
No, of course not.
I mean that the entire security of the internet depends on random number generation. If you don't trust it, you better not be using banking apps or an online brokerage account.
TLS is broken and no secrets are possible.
Gosh that's a beauty! 😍 Any ideas how it might perform outdoors?? We grow some x-mas trees up here! 😅
But I hear you. I've reached the point where I'd prefer to generate my own Nostr key too. But, I'm years into this npub. Can't even remember which app generated it.
All these people on nostr talking about how you shouldn't trust devices to do your RNG for you....?
on. Nostr.

wen feature to add dice rolls to create my new nsec?
Yeah, I've got boxes and boxes of comic books at home.
Yeah, that's what I've heard, and it's a decent solution, but I wouldn't run it with my actual seed phrase, and instead just test device matches website on a dummy one, in which case I don't have to worry about offline anyway, and I'd just be trusting the device behaves consistently from then on when I do my real seed phrase.
I'd still however prefer to be able to do coin flips 11 at a time to pick words, since that's just more transparent to me, and I trust I can flip a coin without enough bias that it would matter (hence don't really care about the sha256 step with the dice rolls).
Ah ok, thanks for checking. I wasn't sure enough to say with certainty. Sigh...
Why is it not a similar application of trust?
And yes, if Linux CSPRND is broken then TLS is compromised and entire security of the internet is built on TLS.
HTTPS, certificate privkeys, SSH, routing, DNSSEC, API key, Oauth, AES, double ratchet
It's all broken.
So whats your problem with what I'm saying?
Do you know if it takes coin flips and runs them through sha256, like how it does dice, or if it converts them directly (11 at a time) to words in the list?
BTW, I don't see your reply on Damus. It seems you're possibly only connected to one relay, at least that's what it's showing me on your profile.
I shit on bip 110 and coldcard equitably
There are probably dozens of people who bear some responsibility for shilling the shit and not calling out NVK as an asshole, like Matt and Marty. But the reason why the CC hack was *so bad* is more because of the toxic maxi element generally.
The social cohesion of maximalism made a movement possible, with CC as a necessary foundation block. They NEEDED a Bitcoin-only affinity project for self-custody. Fucking with that calculator became part of people's identity and that got CC into a LOT more hands than just regular paid ad buys and normal sponsor lies.
it's pernicious and difficult because from an outside noob perspective most of the people responsible for selling that bullshit maxi shit aren't overtly maxis, but they *profit from maximalism.
these are ones that virtue signal for the maxis, but still say they are "open minded".
Theyre fence straddlers for business sake and "dont trust, verify" is just lip service to a good idea. None of them are very technical and there's a lack of incentive to encourage their followers to learn.
Its a sad state of affairs and this is also why we monero.

Ahh, that explains some of the confusion
I recently went to a meetup where they showed that you could us@npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl to enter 11 words and and then the remaining ones and zeros and you would get the final word from it.
