the funny thing is that there's nothing wrong with BCH or 110coin
it just the people are insufferable
Looked back over a few photos. The layers not on the surface do look like could be. The ones on the surface, dunno. Hard to say due to desert varnish. Lots of surface rocks are black there
Never did.. But people post enough x links and screenshots at me, I guess I'm basically watching it via them or something at this point 😥
they should give out awards to the people who watch the most hours.

You got me there. No idea but could be.
It's amazing how far our standards have fallen 😞

Bitcoin's immune system worked exactly as designed. A change without rough consensus died without a fork.
That's not a failure of governance - that is the governance.
To decentralized build frameworks: instead of downloading pre-packaged ready-to-run distributions managed by a vendor, users should be able to run a local scripts that compile/assemble the operating system locally.
Users could assemble the pieces together using Nostr as the index.
I think if we have another Texas meeting I'm going to hire some bitcoiner bus to take me. I'd rather drive 2 days 💯
I am now in Charlotte! Not to be confused with Charlottesville.
So far it is nice. I got pushed in a wheel chair to the bathroom and to get snacks then to my gate.
My flight for Dallas also delayed. So it's looking like it won't depart for another 2 hours at least. If I'm lucky I might get to my hotel at 3 am.
This flight was originally supposed to be a morning flight that got me in by 5 pm 😭
My new friend was telling me how it used to be the airlines gave you a little toiletries bag and got you a hotel if they messed things up. Now you just don't get any sleep.
Y'all I hate air travel so much 🫠
Yeah and ironically most Bitcoiners aren't even here. Last I checked the devs were using Google lol
And there's the issue that if you allow even some arbitrary data, where you draw the line is also arbitrary. I think that's the crux of the issue for a lot of people.
100% agree and it's already an issue for me. It gets to a point where you either spend more on hardware or prune. Both have consequences.
I fully agree with you though. I'd rather it be as basic as possible. All the shit they want to store on chain can be done on something like Nostr now anyway.
I like Y3K. Would love to get some in Japan

I see. Misunderstood what you meant. I tend to take a minimalist approach. Do the bare minimum required for a secure and robust monetary network.
But there's also the Genesis block. It had arbitrary data. So this issue predates all of us. It's hard to argue that our vision was the original. But I'm also not one who deifies Satoshi or even the original network. I think it's rational to improve it and learn from design choices after the fact.
I don't agree that data is never useful in transactions. I think that's obviously untrue. I've made payments that contained unique order details, for example. Could we solve that some other way? Maybe, but that's beyond me.
It's unclear to me that Bitcoin is doomed for any of these things. And if it were truly, it isnt like we couldn't make changes. This is why I avoid catastrophizing. We all think our vision is the best.
Green guy touched it first
If you can find it! Its in the bush somewhere 🤷 got taken there during a field trip at college and tried to find it again years later (with geo maps) and failed but if you like geology, worth looking up photos from that part of the world. Can also see cliffs of salts from the missinian salinity crisis. If you ever visit that, be careful, you won't realise the reflection strength and if sunny, you'll burn fast. But if you're into geology ever been to namibia? Only country I know of where you'll find geology guide books in shops everywhere. Incredible beauty

Compensation faulting in brittle fracture formations that can't simply deform. The craziest thrust I know of is in south eastern Spain. You can literally put one foot on mantle rock, and one on crust. Very ancient deformation.
The problem is that we aren't all here. Some of us are delusional enough to not be here with the rest of us. They don't want to be here. They want to be there and have the rest of us be there with them. That just isnt reality. Unfortunately, I think some people will be lost at sea. All I can do is talk with people who are willing to be rational. I don't care to lose relationships over it to be honest. It really isnt worth it to me.
The distribution model of Linux distros needs to change.

The inflection point of the fold probably had faulting and fracturing from the deformation which causes weak points that erode more easily, hence the water course

Should be fine. Can you file an internal support ticket please.
If it were an attack, prob a secret ploy by core to get you to update to 30 lol
They made billions of dollars on the volatility that they created.
That's all this was about.
Yep. Sticking to old version. I just hope the community starts looking beyond their own blind spots. When you have VC who are incentivized to maximize profits funneling into projects that may harm Bitcoin mission long term and at the same time influencer types literally collecting payment to promote those companies - it’s not a recipe that’ll turn out great. People don’t need to have any evil “bad actor” agendas to do harm to Bitcoin.
Twitter is bad for you
But that's really sad to see from hodlnaut 😖
People who get involved in principled legal battles are usually insane. Not because there's anything wrong with their principles, but because you have to be insane to navigate the legal system.
The problem with most of these people is they think in binary terms. They MUST pick a side. They've been trained their whole life to think this way. It's not possible to be for some certain properties, while also acknowledging that one person forking bitcoin for their own agenda is not good. They must react emotionally to all online conversations that take strong positions (because they must for engagement). I see a lot of this happening here too with LukeCoin and FiatCore.
Oh, yeah, LukeCoin beats BCash for sure lol..
