Last Notes
It let's me switch my feed to any of my follow packs to just see those, so I use it to narrow my list. I don't always want to see my entire follows so I'll switch to just my core peeps at times. I'm sure that feature is elsewhere too, but like I said, I'm tired.
I haven't used Amethyst for quite a while. I didn't like the flippant attitude that I'm to be an alpha tester forever. It's disrespectful in my opinion, but no hard feelings. I just don't use it.
I was on Wisp from firstish release until the last one that removed Amber support.
I'm back in @npub1yzv…rf8q because it's pretty simple and doesn't seem to do a lot of breaking changes as a feature. The addition of their follow packs has also given me a pleasurable amount of quick feed options based on who I want to see notes from at the moment.

What’s the triple agent take?
who just registered soaptoshi.com and has it redirect...
Oh wow. This exchange has me wanting an ellipse watch now. Damn
What error are you seeing? As I remember Amethyst possibly made a update such that when users are using Tor, then NWC connections no longer work?
Nice to see that it is in fact being used

yeah
hard to get good data here tbh
but the data we DO have shows that with any merchant who accepts both,
monero is used VASTLY more than Bitcoin and LN
tail emission is an equitable way for ALL participants in a network to pay for its security.
not just people who spend, which is Bitcoins model.
@nprofile…4a75 @nprofile…admt @nprofile…enpe are the main three but nostr has been bleeding users, so I’m not sure how active they are currently.
love you man
but you're totally misinformed and talking out your ass here.
monero has never changed its monetary policy.
LinkedIn getting worse and worse
Coffee + Raw Cacao = Drugs
Probably better than cocaine. Though if I brewed coca leaves into it it'd be the trifecta of South American stimulants.
Fiat is Marxist Economics.
Bitcoin is Classical Economics.
Z-cash is Chicago Economics.
Monero is Austrian Economics.
Mine fluctuates back, & forth very frequently.
Bitcoin = C
Z-cash = C#
Monero = C++

For some more context and encouragement for you all:
This business using #Square already had Bitcoin acceptance available in their payment processing software. When they got to the screen to select what form of payment the customer was going to use, they just asked "cash or card?" even though #Bitcoin showed as an available option, because they had no idea how the Bitcoin option worked, and they just assumed no one really would want to use that.
Additionally, their business did not show up on CashApp's map of Square merchants that accept Bitcoin, even though that payment method was automatically turned on for them, because being added to the map is still opt-in only. So don't assume a merchant that uses Square can't accept Bitcoin just because they aren't on the map.
If you notice the business is using Square, ask if you can pay in Bitcoin every time.
If they express that they aren't sure how that works, or that they don't want Bitcoin, let them know it is even easier and cheaper than accepting a debit card, and they will receive USD automatically.
If you are able to complete the transaction using Bitcoin, ask them if you can add their business to @nprofile…h3zv.

I can see why vibe coding is easier if a good dev and using to assist productivity.
"Now that we've audited the actual code and changed it to reflect what I had specifically asked for in a very detailed prompt, it's actually working. Is there a way we can use memory files and rules to try to stop you coding up random shit when the actual task is very clearly and specifically defined"
And the response is that we can try but it's hard wired to go off script and it's hard to stop! Current metaphor for vibe coding for me is the equivant of sheep herding with a deaf dog. Has some good, if rather frustrating comedy value
Monero is the refining of Bitcoin, Bitcoin is the raw material, Monero is the final 99% pure product.
Z-cash is a 60% refined material, it still needs more refining to be chemically pure.
I don’t care if someone has a retirement stack of crypto like they have a retirement stack of fiat but most people also have a savings, and checking for fiat, why not for Bitcoin too?
Spend The Bitcoin if you’re going to use fiat anyways.
Do you? I figured I'd give an explanation of some rather niche lore you might have been curious about. I wasted many brain cells following all sorts of micro niche celebrity goings on, and am eager to spew I guess
While The HODL bros talk about Bitcoin being sound money, The Spend, & Replacers of New Hampshire are Building The Bitcoin Standard.

fine, thanks.
I'm ok with a little lag tbh. rather not have phoenix know my payment destinations i think.
The wookie is pfp of a guy called JW Weatherman, who shilled some super complex cold storage scheme back in the day. It involved cd roms, old computers, etc. He would fud everything else to push his extremely complex and dubiously secure process.
I think it was open source process, but he'd be available to hire for help implementing (probably necessary given how complicated it seemed). Never really understood if he was scamming or delusional or what. Just a weird character in the space afaik, yet not an idiot you could completely write off. 🤷♂️
you could just hop on jumble.imwald.eu and put in your payment targets though right?
so did Bitcoin tho, right?
the only reason people function outside the accepted structures is because theyre criminals, everybody know that.

Blast from the past. Iirc correctly, his daughter learned some python and coded up a good portion of his project too. I don't know why, but that statement always stuck with me lol
