Oh wow, it's not scary out there?
You know you're truly content with life when other people's achievements make you genuinely happy.
Back then, I used to feel sorry for myself because I was so far behind my classmates in almost every aspect of life.
Now, I don't feel that way anymore. Other people's achievements don't make me insecure. They inspire me to do better and keep moving forward.
I think it also comes from having enough in life. Don't get me wrong. I'm not rich. But I feel rich in other ways. I'm surrounded by love, family, my dogs, and a life I'm grateful for.
I guess I'm just content with where I am. I have a roof over my head, a job that allows me to pay my bills and save at the same time, dogs and kids (my siblings' children) to spoil, and a parent I can take care of. Above all, we're blessed with good health.
I think as you get older, your perspective changes. You start valuing inner peace more than comparison and other petty things.
So, every time I see people celebrating their wins, whether big or small, it genuinely makes me happy. I know what that feeling is like, and I hope they keep winning.
