Good insight. This is part of my general gripe with modern Christianity - how much has been lost. This area is "bible belt" territory. That's not bad, but people aren't putting the effort into their beliefs that I would think commitment should entail. Meditation used to be totally normal for Christians to do. Its not the same as prayer, but it can compliment it. In prayer, we talk a lot ; in meditation, you listen. I'd like to say to these people : is God your servant? Give him a chance to respond.
